Sorry for the threads btw, I should have posted it all under one big note or something. I typed this up while in bed and looking up Deleuze because I had never read his work, yet wanted to understand how you felt. Hopefully you enjoyed this critique. :)

For what it's worth, I do really enjoy this show, and I hope the season progresses well. It has weaknesses, but I can certainly see what made you enjoy the first few episodes, and how it can be analyzed using deleuzian philosophy.
deleuzian in regard to the material conditions that pushed her into drug trafficking and selling as well as the fluid nature of the life rue has lived. Additionally we come across a lot of the creative functions in LA, and potentially Jules too, and the fluid identity these people have too.
as a theme. My criticism here is that it is only shown after she finds faith that she has these abandonment issues stemming from the rejection from her mother and the disconnect between the person she loves. In addition to her faith, the moral disjunction between her work and morality is quite -
You describe the season as being deleuzian, and with strong themes of free will, God, and the paths we take in life I can certainly see where you come from. Rue feels a little sprung up upon God, though we find her abandoned and rejected from those she loves insofar that finding faith in God works -
in a single sitting. I'm torn between my prejudicial feelings based on the criticism for the series that I have felt, read and heard. Pushing that aside there are some parts I really love, moments with Maddie seem really fun, I love the vignette that is used during some of her scenes. I miss Jules.
due to all that happens feels so bizarre and almost out of place, the structure seems sudden and nonsensical. Still I should remember these bizarre and wacky moments are prevalent throughout the series, including the s2 cliffhanger. All said, I am still finding it fun though difficult to watch -
knowledgeable on certain topics. This was something Jules/Hunter Schafer approached brilliantly of course but feels lacking in s3. Our only mention of her is that she is some sort of hooker. Characters feel a little humiliated and the pacing feels quite absurd. Episode 1 especially -
So I've watched episode 1 and half of episode 2. Feelings are a little mixed. High prevalence of sex work which lingers on mockery and can feel a little fantastical. While season 1+2 were a little out there, they neatly fitted into the highschool drama tropes while being contemporary and -

honestly i miss matricies
that is interesting to know, thank you.
i will say i did not know any of this, im learning more so about the Eurostar, Eurolille and how it helped rebuild Lille as a modern Metropolitan city and creating growth in a former industrial city. Mauray is viewed as pivotal for the construction of the international station in Lille.
so his association with Mitterand makes him a little known figure in french left politics? do you know if people from Lille also view Mauroy in such a way?
was he a good prime minister? did he uplift Lille? what were peoples perceptions of Lille then and now?
general question to my french followers but what do the general left of france, and the broader public view Pierre Mauroy?
