So it’s been sitting on my phone for a while now, but I finally got rid of Twitter. It’s become a right-wing cesspool filled with disgusting rhetoric, and owned by a Nazi. I’m all in on Bluesky, so I’d love some Mutuals!

I think it’s all pretty silly tbh. 5 was perfect.

That’s what people are looking for when they follow a channel anyway. Welcoming them in by name, imo, puts no pressure on the viewer

I’ve definitely understand where the streamer (if it’s you, I apologize this is the first post I’ve seen of yours) is coming from but at the same time I feel like if someone does follow your channel, they should have a reasonable expectation to have their name pop up on stream. A lot of times 1/2

I know they’ve raised prices twice now so that might be what you’re experiencing

Coming from a small creator, to other small creators- post more, post consistently, and do your research into thumbnails, titles, and what’s working in your niche

Finding a niche took me almost ten years, but now that I know what I’m doing and WHY, I’ve started gaining subscribers like crazy.

Consistency, post more often, and post on a set schedule. Nobody is going to sub to a small content creator who only posts a few times a year.

Give viewers a reason to click. Your thumbnails need a lot of work to pull an audience in.

Just these two things have gained me over 200 subs this month

Yeah I don’t think you can yet. I imagine that’s an email?

Hey! Twitch has like zero visibility for new creators, so I’d suggest putting most of your time towards places like YouTube, really force yourself to learn what makes a good title and thumbnail, packaging is what gets your videos clicks, the editing is what’s going to get them to stay

And video support would be nice.

I’ve had the thought of trying to find collab partners but god is it impossible to find someone in my niche my size.

But I’m feeling too, that it will take longer to produce and weekly releases feel the most natural to me right now. So I’ll continue to try to do some funny stuff here and there for now, but I’m certain over time I’ll increase said edits.

But after like 9 videos he stopped posting, and I feel like the increased edits he included was part of the burnout he faced, which is why when I sit down at premiere now, i feel like I don’t want to do that hyper edited style. I do get it drives the hell out of engagement, so there’s reason for it

And I think nostalgia is fine to work with but in a non-traditional video essay format I have to work with what I have and what I can see working with other creators. Recently I saw someone who makes nearly the same style of content I do with about 5000 subscribers, his videos are amazing but I feel

Speaking of ads, this videos sponsored by.. I’ve really been enjoying making content these last few weeks and going from 800 to over 1000, to me, feels like I’m headed in the right direction and I love that.

My content is okay too, I feel like I’m pulling at nostalgia more than anything.

I’m just going to stream of consciousness post for a while.

So 1/ however many.

Blue sky is a neat website/app, and I feel like I’m already getting interaction here that I wouldn’t have known xitter. I will say native video function would be nice, but it’s also good not getting bombed with ads.

That’s why I wish beam, and eventually mixer did way better. If they didn’t make all the mistakes they did they had an incredible system there.

YouTube used to have a low latency mode that dropped it considerably. Sucks they brought Al line big streamers over and then Refused to actually help them

this place desperately needs messaging and video support otherwise it will never take off. if they want more of us artists to call this place home then we need the right tools to help establish our businesses here
