How often does it happen that you've got the right word on the tip of your pen that you just can't recall? I feel like it happens to me relatively often. But this could be some kind of negativity bias
Who are some of your favorite literary critics? And what are some of your favorite works by them?
I've heard a few times now people bring up Lolita's brilliance w/ trepidation, as if acknowledging its achievement is controversial. Are there still people who think Nabokov was pro-Humbert?
When you're burnt out on a story you're writing, are there books or movies you like to revisit to reset your brain?
STORY: RAM
After 19-yo Clay takes acid, he meets 42-yo Ava, who embodies Clay’s dominant Woman ideal — or does she? Tripping, Clay isn’t sure how to read her or himself, and he risks losing himself in trying to find out.

It's happened a few times now that I've dreamed up a word that doesn't exist. I can't remember what the latest one is, but since this happened multiple times, I'm starting to think I should create a small dream dictionary
Rewatching that scene of Shiv talking to Logan on the phone after he's died. Sarah Snook is so phenomenal
Maybe a dark thought: but when they issue the death penalty, is there a word count to your final words? Or can you filibuster execution?
Working my way through S. A. Cosby's King of Ashes. Fun.
REVIEW: The 2nd Elegy by Rilke
"Rilke hearkens to the past, to the innocence of ancestors, the already-dead, who knew (and possibly know because they are past, have passed) our limits as activity within/-out passive Being."

I know sometimes actors won't watch their performances after shooting's wrapped. How often do you reread old material you wrote years ago?

Something interesting to note: Artists who "make it look easy" usually only make it look easy to those outside of that medium. Whereas those who work in that medium see the years of effort in the craft.
Used to own this on VHS. One of my favorite things to watch when I was a kid. youtu.be/erWsDXNeDW0?...
STORY: Bridges Part 2
The shadow creatures impose upon the town further, revealing part of their plan. How will town respond? Perhaps the answer resides with those who’ve been forgotten.

On a "good" writing day, what's the upper limit of your word count?
Do you think it's easier to write when it's cold out or when it's hot? For me, it's a fight b/t stiff fingers or sweaty palms. More effort to write vs smeared ink. That said, I prefer cold weather.
Would be really funny if the Toy Story movies went the way of the Friday the 13th movies. Toy Story 10: The gang goes to space

People who say "How is this person so well-read yet still this dumb?" reveal their own tendency toward idol-worship. "Well-read" and "dumb" are not mutually exclusive. Hell, neither are "smart" and "dumb"

I don't understand what's relaxing about the sound of rain. It's so distracting
I was looking into some of the work from Dreiser and came across the author, Louis Auchincloss. Never heard of him. I'm familiar with his family's connection to the Kennedys (and Vidals), but didn't know one of them was an author. Any Auchincloss fans out there?
I like Libby overall. Quite a bit actually as my library doesn't always have the books I'm looking for. That said, sometimes a book is "available soon" for a bit too long.
REVIEW: The Hunter Gracchus by Kafka
"We are fundamental to Nature, which would not exist without us, and yet we are in exile, separated by our knowledge of our own demise."

Which of Gore Vidal's Narratives of Empire series is your favorite? I've got Lincoln, Hollywood, and Golden Age--haven't read any of them, but am wondering where to start. Lincoln was my first choice, but I'm second-guessing.
