Someone who has a shakier grasp on jus ad bellum like that couchfucker probably shouldn’t be trying to hamfistedly lecture the Pope about St. Augustine.

When you can successfully separate an actor from their roles, you can see this for the truth that it is.
They made the exact same mistake in Afghanistan. They assumed that veritable children in expensive suits would be sufficient to sway tribal and village elders, rather than seeing it as the insult it actually was.
He knew that if he tried to hold onto power that there was a not-zero chance that he would have quite literally been torn limb from limb. Apparently he possesses self-preservation at a level slightly higher than a cockroach, and didn’t want to join Mussolini and Ceausescu in ignominy.
Ah yes; people of the land, the salt of the earth, the common clay of the new west. You know, morons.
I’m modestly sure that the Dominion, as the dark reflection of the Federation, is a more apt comparison. Right down to the religious zealotry.
I guess they need to find enough money to murder more school children. How definitively, and morbidly, American.
What a cunt.

I have two:
“Be strong enough to be gentle”
“Be curious, not judgemental.”
Throw in “would it help?” every time there’s an opportunity to panic, and you have a trifecta.
You’ve definitely saved yourself frustration. As a fan of the first, I watched it with hope. Misplaced as it was. A studio thinking they had a sure thing, but completely missed what made the original work.
For what it’s worth, the Galaxy textures make it look a little closer to the concept art.

A drawing of a realistic dog wearing a tie saying; "I need to lock in and prove that I am capable. I need to be taken seriously." While a drawing of a cartoon dog says; "I need to stay silly and whimsical lest I lose the very essence of myself." Perpetrating an endless cycle

Is that then the part where he’s dragged to a gas station and hanged with his own entrails?
Fun trivia: I asked Ron Perlman to sign my bluray copy of the original movie with “where’s my god damn shoe?” And he happily obliged. It’s one of my prized possessions.
Pacific Rim’s sequel.
The first movie was fun, novel, and self-contained, and had character development so well done that Mako’s story redefined the baseline for female character development.
The sequel… had none of that. Going so far as to Fridge Mako right at the beginning.
Fuck.
Drop, or fly, some spaceships.
Ah, so that’s Orban…
So, uh, forgive my ignorance, but who *is* this Boss Nass-looking lump of flesh?
Some corners for production were easier to cut than others.
Thank you both!
A Glenn-class experimental science ship from Star Trek Online is seen from the prow looking aft towards the moon, gleaming in the background.
Jane’s Interstellar wants to extend our congratulations to NASA, the Canadian Space Agency, the European Space Agency, and the crew of Integrity for the successful splashdown and completion of the Artemis II mission.
Welcome home to Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen!
SPLASHDOWN!!!
Three cheers for science, engineering, research, curiosity, cooperation.
Look what the fuck we can do when we ask big questions, work together, and fund our scientists.
Congratulations, NASA. Congratulations, humanity!
Yeah, call me weird but this NASA kid is especially crazy about splashdowns. Always a relief to be back safe—then the celebration can start. And so dramatic!
Sorry, I’ve got something in my eye… but I missed splashdowns so much. This was just beautiful!

I couldn’t tell if the names were visible; do you have the names of the Stalking Mokras ships?
