Concurrent work. Right before our release, we are informed with a concurrent blogpost (Super-HOT kaiokendev (2023)) that also interpolates positional encoding in RoPE to extend the context window from 2K to 8K.

kaiokendev.github.io post: "I have been working on SuperHOT for some time now. It is a fiction-focused finetune of LLaMa with extra focus towards NSFW outputs while also being capable of general use instructions."

Yesterday Facebook researchers published a new method for expanding the context windows for large language models.

As they noted, someone else had posted about it before they published.

That person was experimenting with an NSFW-fiction-generating open source model called "SuperHOT."
