I think it’s pretty cute that during an age where Western online nerds showed pretty harsh resistance to anime and anything furry-adjacent, Newgrounds still showed appreciation for this Little series from South Korea.

I don’t usually buy plushies, but when @youtooz.bsky.social announced they were making ones with Nabi (in 2024) and Doki (in 2025), I figured, why not?
Especially since the official SamBakZa store has been sold out for YEARS.
As someone who grew up on her music I am embarrassingly happy to hear this.
Makes sense.
After all, love will never do without her.

Oh man, I remember when the Double Toasted guys made fun of this.

This scene from The Venture Bros. is from a Season 4 episode that aired in 2009.
I think about that and how casual it is grappling with this subject matter a lot.

Too tired to parse this from this angle, but I’ll just say that I wish people stopped having that attitude of “I’m pissed about AI and you’re not pissed about it in the specific way that I prefer so now you’re my mortal enemy”
I’m currently writing a pitch for a magazine about all this. Stay tuned I guess
Funny enough, I was talking with some folks in a server about AI and people associating it with animation.
One person said there’s a danger with AI infantilizing everything, and animation is probably the most infantilized art form of all.
Believing the flight from Egypt, an early united Israel, and a host of other things from this pseudohistory is morally equivalent to believing Genesis literally happened-- it's a gambit for fanatics, bigots and fools that deserves no standing as a historical reason for anything.
An interesting thread that’s related to what I’ve been recently thinking about with girl-targeted media (or alternatively, any media with a female protagonist)
linked artist made my avatar and a bunch of other cool stuff, give 'em some business
On one hand I think it’s a bummer that Mamdani can’t run for the presidency. On the other, one of the main reasons he’s the guy he is is because he can’t run for the presidency.
“The only thing that can make a good webcomic even better, is to have it in print”
Interesting point.
Somehow an Aqua Teen Hunger Force T-shirt feels more prestige, despite being equally or even more vulgar.
Sorry. I literally have no idea what your real name is.
You writing fanfiction now?……Cool!😀
Everyone I’ve seen that talks about the movie brings up Tim Curry as pollution for a close second.
The creator of Charlie the Unicorn referenced it in this fun skit about Sonic being an eco-terrorist. youtu.be/q6TNe4FlirA?...
The fact that an English train mascot was designed by an artist who animates fatfurs is fucking awesome actually
Moon Child looks so cute!
What program did you use to draw this?
Nice art!
I’ve been meaning to ask, what program do you use to draw?
Thanks go the reply.
I was curious because a lot of artists I follow use Clip Tool Paint, and thick lines of your work felt too specific for the former.
Nice! Didn't know you were on here. Great shading.
(what program do you use for your work, if I may ask?)
They revolt at you for daring to pay tribute to a brand over Pepsi and/or Fanta, unaware that we all drink from the same label.

#LetterboxdFriday All short films. All animated. One of them was pretty NSFW (positive) #LastFourWatched
I have a few colleagues that would counter this (specifically how that’s not how they got into anime)
Not part of said group, but I do think about how one of them said “if you care about treating animation as an art form, you‘d go out of your way to always watch in the OG language”

#ThrowbackThursday to October of 2015:
Was going through my room and found this exclusive issue of the Den of Geek magazine I still kept from New York Comic Con of the same year.
A certain 2-page section in it reminded me of all the recent Disney/Marvel talk going on here.
Airbenders truly are terrifying when you consider the drawn air lines whenever they bend are for our benefit as viewers, and the characters in the show can't see them.
