Updates on Impartiality. Hi everyone. I just wanted to bring you a quick update. As you know, I do work in TV, and a company I work with has now decided to enforce new social media rules on all staff, even if we are not journalists or working in the editorial branches. In particular, I will now have to ensure any posting online, or any social media commentary must be impartial. Now this may not be totally new - many of you who have watched me from the beginning will know I have always aimed to be impartial. But in recent times, I feel it is important to make a few points now that I am restricted again: - If I am NOT posting an opinion, this does not mean I support either side. Just because I'm not talking about a specific event, current affair, or a response to a global event (i.e a protest), does not mean I support a specific side. - I do have opinions, unfortunately I’m not allowed to express them. - Though disclaimers don’t mean much, my views do not reflect the companies I work with, and likewise, the companies I work with absolutely do not reflect my personal views. I will always preach that we should be respectful and support one another. To be human is to care for one another. Be free to live. Be free to love. Be kind. This isn’t a political view, this is simply a moral view. Stay safe.
