Cool! Did you use CharacterBody's or RigidBody's in the mech? Or just plain old meshes moved by script? (Which of course still do their job perfectly fine)

Haven't done heavy vibe coding but I imagine that something like this would be a pretty good candidate since besides the initial idea + framework, adding support for all the different nodes must be pretty repetetive and easy to do for an LLM. I could be wrong though. Anyways, thanks for this!

Thats a very cool topic for a masters thesis. Does the implementation itself have enough scientific value for a masters thesis? Or do you do additional stuff like comparing current state of the art or something?

Yeah I agree. Allthough there are some overheads to Godots nodes. In my projectile system I found that avoiding nodes and using the servers directly is actually much better. But that is one of the rare cases where nodes might be too slow.
Oh but I believe you meant that some people think using Godots Nodes is slow. Yeah no I disagree with them and agree with you then. But I feel like nodes are far from UE blueprints...
I think visual scripting is a slow workflow compared to coding (if you know what you are doing when coding). Especially writing GDScript. If you were referring to the runtime performance of visual scripting, I don't know how it compares.
