We are saddened to have recieved reports of games claiming to be Blue Prince on iOS.

Blue Prince has only been released on Steam, Xbox and Playstation platforms.

We have no news about other platforms at this time, but if that changes we will make an official announcement.

While we investigate we would kindly ask that you do not purchase or download these apps.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

What a ride. @rawfury.bsky.social has just turned 10 years old. What are your predictions for 2025 and beyond, when it comes to games and indie specifically?

Then we aren’t it Doc. If track record matters then go on your own journey.

Doesn’t it depend on what you are showing/pitching?

Publisher?

Complex question and I believe you know it. Difference between recoup and repay for one thing. Difference between taking IP or or not. Difference between milestones (pub has cut) or not. And so many more aspects.

1 year ago 1 0 1 0

Wow. With or without a publisher? Scratch that - on a journey of developing a game, how are you persuaded to not do it?

Founded Raw Fury - a 10 y/o “generalist” publisher and we’re doing pretty okay. Have an hour or so to be social on the internet. So… AMA?

Craftlings looks to occupy some beautiful place between Terraria and Lemmings There's a demo out now if that intrigues you.

"Adorable strategy games where you herd a bunch of tiny idiots are in short supply these days, so let me tell you how exciting the trailer for Craftlings, debuted today at the PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted, has made me: Very excited." - @pcgamer.com

Magic 😉

We never claim IP. We don’t have any cutting rights or milestones. We don’t dictate what the game should or should not be.

Absolutely. There is no cookie cutter approach. Just like Raw Fury has something that works great for some developers (not all), there are scenarios where self publishing makes sense.

Depends on the type of game. Sometimes EA makes total sense.

The magic moment. That thing that makes you lean in and come back an hour later. If you can transcribe that in an animatic or an early build with programmer art, then go for it. But that’s the key.

I think there is a role. We all face the same obstacles. Discovery and curation chief among them. And if we want to keep the Art in this artistic medium - and not just the more commoditized aspect of entertainment, or the functional aspect of mechanics - then we need to make sure indies thrive.

1 year ago 1 0 1 0

Tough one. I am personally in favor of developers engaging early - both with publishers (if that’s the route they want to take) and with gamers in general.

1 year ago 1 0 0 0

It is certainly tougher than a couple of years ago but it is refreshing to see new options coming up. Like Outer Sloth and what Hooded Horse have been doing. Things go in waves and there will be another one here. We just need to make sure Indie is kept safe, as that is where the Art lives.

No I don’t think so. Perhaps “micro strategy” is a red thread but even that is a bit thin. I think we have strived to find Magic across genres and any sort of classical lines.

Does an AMA work here?
Founded Raw Fury. Ten years on we have a little group of companies and planning next steps. Have an hour to kill.

Johan also has an excellent nose for games and good devs along with a really honest and people first approach to life.

I spend too much time thinking of the following things. The edge between conscious and unconscious creation. Different expressions of creative mediums as commodity, function or art. Analog labor driven discovery and curation of everything from houses to dates to games.

As sustainability.

Since people have been asking, I've created a "Background Radiation" Games Industry Starter Pack! The goal is a pack that gives you a good horizontal overview of the games industry and its surrounding fields - and the conversations happening there.
