I've never seen a population more united. If people can hold onto that unity, if people can accept that different people will have different ways of confronting fascism, if we can remind NGOs and orgs that they can join but not control the resistance, then, well, people here will write history.
Maybe you scale back, but maybe you don't. Not every game needs to have snappy pacing at a table.
Maybe this works better in posts like you said. If so, then perhaps this leans to a solo RPG played like a journal, or maybe it could be letters sent between participants.

It's 3k more than you had before! Plus, 7k shows more of the thought you put into the task.
Ooh! And then you could expand this to have the carts influence personality, so then you could foster scenes of junkyard bots/bioweapons getting punched and changing personalities as different skills take control of the body
I thought of something like this for my game's settlement mechanics -- what if the bio-weapon's HP were all those cartridges? So taking damage might ruin your ability to knit or smooth-talk someone?
Then progression could include expanding your cart slots 'n stuff, or increasing available power?

Gamefeel-wise, I have no issue with the idea. But because progression is an expression of personal growth, I'd want to justify why only their items get better.
Maybe they're junkyard robots so this actually is their equipment improving?
But what do you think of it?
