Can you explain how passing this bill allows for any more corruption than the status quo? Isn't it better to add some guardrails than none? I see a lot of pressure on Dem senators to vote against this but no arguments as to how this is worse than what we have now.

I’ve called Padilla’s DC office 3 times over the last few days and a staffer has picked up every time. I asked to leave my name for follow-up and they said they’d only follow up if you email.

I am curious about how much more NHIs will come into play with the rise of agentic AI. If an AI system is doing a complex set of tasks with multiple systems on my behalf (or autonomously), does it use my human identity or are there NHIs involved?

Feels like this should be a bigger news story. Is there any merit to people’s feeling that Siri is listening and feeding them targeted ads based on conversations?
