The two aren't comparable. Nintendo goes after fangames that are free, which is a dick move, but totally within their right as the IP holder. Blizzard went after a private server that was using their IP to profit.

Whether Blizzard lost money or not is irrelevant.

Evil how? They were not only infringing upon Blizzard's IP, but doing so for profit whilst also running ads.

Private servers alone run the risk of Blizz cracking down, but often often seem willing to let them be so long as you aren't poking the bear, so to say.

So yeah, I'd say they had it coming.

Ever notice buying WoW tokens is individual payments, that you can't just select to bulk buy multiple, with each payment taking a while and requiring confirmation? Imagine Blizzard releases a fancy chair that you want multiple of. Going through that purchase for each chair would be tedious.

The doomerism regarding Hearthsteel doesn't surprise me, but some of the people assuming the worst about it and spreading that interpretation as fact does.
