NEW: There’s a disaster unfolding in Alaska right now. And no major network is covering it.

The remnants of Typhoon Halong battered western Alaska overnight. Homes, with people in them, have literally been swept into the Bering Strait.

At least 20 are missing. No comment from any federal agency.

"Masks prevent the transmission of respiratory viruses. The science is clear," writes Iris Gorfinkel. "The standards are in place. A health policy that reacts to hospitalizations and deaths falls below the long-held standard of do-no-harm. Policies that are enacted only once hospitalizations are high do the opposite.

I haven't seen one single study that shows it's harmless to keep getting Covid again & again. But there are thousands of peer-reviewed studies that document long-term harms

Bessent on why US troops won't get involved in defending Europe: "As I told my European counterparts about two weeks ago, 'All I hear from you is that Putin wants to march into Warsaw. The one thing I'm sure of is that Putin isn't marching into Boston.'"

Maybe Losing Is The Real Goal It makes you wonder.

I keep asking why politicians hire strategists who can't win elections and why media outlets keep platforming opinion writers who praise Charlie Kirk while shushing Greta Thunberg. I keep arriving at the same answers.

Why scientists are rethinking the immune effects of SARS-CoV-2 “Immunity debt,” a theory to explain the global surge in non-covid infections since pandemic restrictions were lifted, is increasingly being challenged by emerging evidence. Nick Tsergas reports Myco...

Immunity debt isn’t a thing
It’s made up. It’s a get out of jail free card for the folks who encouraged you to get infected with Covid

The economic consequences of long COVID are large, both to the affected individuals and to society as a whole.
Don’t get COVID.
Get vaccinated.
Wear an N95.
Clean the air we all breathe.

There is a large green digital billboard display with the words COVID-19 CAUSES...
BRAIN DAMAGE
DEMENTIA
IMMUNE DAMAGE
HEART PROBLEMS
DIABETES
CHRONIC ILLNESS
N95
ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION
ANYONE CAN GET LONG COVID, EVEN KIDS.
MASK UP AND STAY SAFE. On it. There is also a graphic of a purplish virus particle, and a white n95 mask. There are also 3 vehicles in the picture, two are dark blue suvs and the other is a white car. There are buildings in the background and a patch of grass in front of the parking lot where the vehicles are. It is a sunny day.

Covid numbers are rising and we trying to get the word out. Here are the first two billboards so far this summer and I’ll be working to keep putting them out well into the fall.
If you want to help me continue the campaign any help is appreciated.

I support the new CSA standard for respirators in Canadian healthcare. You can find out more in the attached. Deadline for public comments is August 19th. #N95

Fact check on “Canada’s biggest industry”: oil and gas contributes ~3% to Canada’s GDP. Does the word “biggest” have another meaning that I’m not aware of? “Loudest” may be more accurate. www.capp.ca/en/our-prior...

Measles. Is. Back.
A disease we had basically eradicated in the U.S. is now spreading in schools, hospitals, and communities.
Why?
Because misinformation kills.

I don't think we appreciate the bullet Canada dodged by electing PM Mark Carney instead of Pierre Poilievre, based on the disaster that press conference would have been if it had involved Donald Trump and petulant assclown Skippy McSlogan. So let's think about how awful that would have been.

CTV News: "Based on 2024 data, Elections Canada estimates that byelections cost approximately $22.91 per registered elector.
At that rate, and with 85,237 registered electors in Battle River-Crowfoot, Poilievre‘s byelection could cost taxpayers as much as $1.95 million." #cdnpoli

I love how Poilievre spent two years and an election trying to enrage Canadians into fury over how much they spend on taxes but then loses the election and his own seat… and charges Canadians taxpayers $1.38M to run in a byelection instead of resigning.

PM Mark Carney makes Canadian political history today by simultaneously meeting with the US President, the Pope, Darth Vader and the world's greatest golfer ever.

If Poilievre doesn’t have to live in his riding to run for MP, we shouldn’t have to live in his riding to vote against him.

Maybe the fine people of Carleton should leave comments across all social media platforms of what the folks of rural Alberta can expect from their possible new local MP Pierre Poilievre....

The Conservative Party of Canada is Going to Make
You Pay $2,000,000+ To Give Him One

This Guy Who Lost Conservatives The Majority They Would Have Won With Anyone Else At The Helm

This Guy Who Has Done Nothing For Canadians
In 21 Years In Parliament

This Guy Who Was Fired By His Constituents
After Serving Himself For 21 Years

This Guy Somehow Gets To Have A Do-Over
