You don't want to miss this!
Join me in half an hour as I moderate a group of amazing authors who will read kissing scenes from their books. We'll have some Q&A about writing them, too.
It's gonna be a good time. It's FREE! Register using the link in the image.

I just subscribed to 5 Calls Newsletter! buttondown.com/5calls
It's overwhelming, this whole new regime. Too much to rise up to. This org helps to break it into consumable parts. To misuse an old saying - "How do you destroy an elephant? One action at a time."
If you're in the mood for something a little less dystopian in your feed, K.Aten βͺ@katenauthor.bsky.social invited me to be the featured author in herβ¬ monthly newsletter. Check it out and see how we bond over our dogs, chai, and katana swords.

Can't wait to see you in person :-)
Check out the review @lesbireviewed.bsky.social gave Accidentally in Love! I'm so grateful for their support of the sapphic book community and the exceptional quality of their review process. I especially enjoyed how they kept me on the edge of my seat with the daily progress posts!
Honestly, me too. I have initiative, but I'm weak at the execution. I will work on instigation with my friends who are good at execution.
I'm with the cat...
Remember the covid days & the sense of community that showed up? Let's find ways to nurture & create the connections that kept us sane during that time. Zoom dates, writing dates, game dates, & watch parties cured some of the loneliness & isolation. And we can even do them in person. I'm in for it.
Go and get you some, people!
I love his work. My gnomes started as a holiday decoration but are now out full time. I get so many complements on them.
Not to brag or anything...
Good friends take your new book for long walks on the beach. Thank you, @aliciagael.bsky.social for letting her hang out with @nancampbellwrites.bsky.social's new book and your upcoming release.
Is it ridiculous to be jealous of my book because itβs at the beach with you and not me? Haha! Thank you @aliciagael.bsky.social
My latest release, The Blessed, is available now via www.boldstrokesbooks.com/books/the-bl...

NetGalley users! I'm not sure how long my latest book, Accidentally in Love, will be available on NetGalley, but I'd love to hear what you have to say about it! For all those who've left reviews, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Yes! I need this in my life now!
I'm definitely remembering the trans folks I know and the ones I have yet to meet. I'm in awe of your courage and how so many of you find a way to continue to be kind after enduring the actions of those who wouldn't know kindness if it was right before their eyes. I'm so glad you're still here.
Keep scrolling if you're still too raw from all the chaos...
But...if you're interested in finding journalists who are less likely to be swayed by the $$$ and 'clout' of billionaires, here's a list of independent journalists to explore.
Just another couple of sycophants. Disappointing yet not surprising.
It's here! It's here!
I was so happy to see @levarburton.bsky.social win the National Humanities Award last year. He has worked ferociously and endured so much from those who would see books banned. Yet he persists! My three daughters and I love him.
Many ask "Where are the sapphic authors?"
They're here!
Thanks for collecting and sharing, @jaeauthor.bsky.social!
(May I be added? Pretty please?)
I just created a starter pack for anyone who loves sapphic fiction. It includes mostly authors, book sites, and other cool people + 2 feeds you might want to subscribe to.

Itβs not meant to be a list of *all* sapphic authors, but I have created a longer list too.
Beautiful! Looks like a hot chai latte kind of day!
Shameless plug: A few of my books have characters over 40
Can't Leave Love- small-town romance
Lost Harbor- two nuns find each other after being thrown out of a convent years earlier. Part of a series but it stands alone.
No Experience Required- a woman with bipolar thought she'd never find love...
That's a supremely evocative photo and the quote totally vibes with it. I love old graveyardsβa trait I inherited from my mom (RIP).
That's amazing! Congratulations!
Thank you! I'll listen to it now. π
The voices of writers and literature lovers soon became extinct due to 'algorithms.' i.e. the policing of our activity to please the owners, not the users. This slice of community is a balm to my soul. Thank you, all you vintage and new friends. I hope this place stays cool.
