Well indeed. If methane can destroy a house I’d hate to think what hydrogen might do to a street. But in my blog there’s more to this too that I don’t want to distract from. A kWh of electricity gives me 3+kWh heat via a heat pump. That same kWh would create 0.5kWh heat via Hydrogen. 6x difference!

Came across this www.eonenergy.com/business/net... and can’t help but think if a new build site deliberately under-specs the local grid then it’s self-enforcing reduced solar install (photo implies that) and therefore restricted export. E.g. wouldn't then support Zero Bills.

Zonal Pricing. Really important. We need to stop throwing away excess wind energy fish we’ve already paid for. And stop gas setting the price!
