Do join us for this roundtable with Ofsted, focusing on the implications of the new framework for small schools.
There will be plenty of time for questions, giving colleagues the opportunity explore the impact of the framework together.

I’m super excited for this book to be out in the world. Book writing is not my niche but it’s been ace to talk to so many colleagues who are passionate about the difference small schools can make.
Thank you for everything you do! #smallbutmighty

8 years and lots more to come!! So thankful for opportunity to play a tiny role in the creation and development of @collegeofteaching.bsky.social and the work we do for teachers. #bettertogether
Of course!! Always happy to chat, share, help 😊 #bettertogether
It’s been brilliant so far thanks to the expertise and generosity in the system and the enthusiasm and commitment of the ace colleagues across our trust! 🥰 #BetterTogether
Last bit for now (it’s a work in progress) is to welcome @morgsedu.bsky.social to our trust conference day after half term to build on Jade’s work in the context of task design as part of our wider curriculum work with @pkckst.bsky.social
Each element will include a presentation, notes, links to preparatory and further reading and a one pager inspired by the brilliant work of various colleagues in the sector. Thanks on this one go to Michael Chiles and @dylanwiliam.bsky.social
At the same time a group of our T&L leads are working on developing a bank of bespoke CPD sessions which teachers can tap into as and when they are needed.
Then @mrspearce.bsky.social began a series of short sessions with the wider trust looking at different aspects of our framework.
Next we needed an expert and everyone had had enough of hearing from me ( maybe ) so we invited the totally brilliant @mrspearce.bsky.social to work with our headteachers, explain why this work was important and the evidence behind our thinking.
We developed a set of guiding principles for PD in our trust. Not rocket science but a shared understanding 🚀
Next we thought carefully about how we could develop this and provide CPD around our shared language which was impactful and made the very best use of teacher time. Big thanks to the work of the EEF, @drsamsims.bsky.social and the @ioe.bsky.social
team for their clever research!
After a lot of reading and research, we turned our post-it notes into a framework of principles outlining what we think great teaching looks like in our trust.
We then dug into research and current thinking around the different elements of effective teaching - with massive thanks to @collegeofteaching.bsky.social @teacherhead.bsky.social @pepsmccrea.bsky.social @innerdrive.bsky.social
We categorised our ideas into ‘flourishing classrooms’ and ‘flourishing learners’ inspired by the work of @andywolfe.bsky.social and his team.
We started with a group of colleagues interested in evidence informed T&L, getting together to think deeply about what makes great teaching.
Lots of DMs today about the teaching & learning work we are developing across our trust. Here are a few details about the process so far with massive thanks to the genius of @mrspearce.bsky.social
Absolutely brilliant to welcome @mrspearce.bsky.social back to our trust as we continue to work on our T&L framework. A perfect hour in the busiest of week 🥰
This is brilliant and I love the I, We, You!! Thank you Ian 🙏
This is brilliant! We achieve so much for our pupils and communities in a system which is difficult and fraught with challenge. I’m imagining what we could achieve in a system where our adults were flourishing. #proudtoteach #bettertogether

One of the things that keeps me going back to Twitter is that I get fairly regular DMs on there asking me for advice about reading.
Just to be clear: I am more than happy for people to DM on here for the same reason.
Please repost this if you think this info might be useful to someone.
