The SIA article you link to is misleading.
The spin from the SIA and its members relies on a broader domestic combustion aggregate that includes other fuels which are reducing. Wood used as a fuel shows an overall increasing trend since 2008.

I've said that many times. You always ignore it, and somehow think you know better than the mountain of evidence that shows wood burning on modern stoves causes pollution.
Charnwood don't actually support cleaner air, because they lie about the emissions data.

The health effects of burning are widely known.
Modern stoves are not the answer: some emit MORE tiny particles of soot, carbon and cancer-causing chemicals than older stoves.

🚫Stronger penalties for suppliers who don’t meet standards.

It's so good to hear that "the overwhelming majority" of #Sheffield's Clean Air Zone revenue is to go towards protecting children from the harmful effects of #AirPollution. Cycle training, cycle storage, 20mph limits outside schools and 19 new #SchoolStreets will be funded - fantastic to hear.

We need health & safety protections for all neighbours. Its about distance

DEFRA has just published a consultation on solid fuel burning. We're happy to see a long-term campaign ask addressed - warning labels on stoves. However, the proposals will only impact future emissions; they will do nothing to help all those affected by existing burning. #CleanAirNight #WoodBurning
