For the first time, I'm hearing that DOGE cut Dept of Ed Teacher & School Leader Incentive Program grants, which fund performance-based pay to recruit, reward, & retain teachers & leaders in high-needs schools.

Check out abstracts of grants cut

Protester Interrupts Linda McMahon Hearing With a WWE Homage: ‘Can You Smell What Linda McMahon Is Cooking?!’ Linda McMahon's Senate hearing was disrupted multiple times by protesters, one of whom used their minor demonstration to homage a classic WWE line.

I didn't think I'd finally get arrested yelling lines from pro-wrestling, but here we are. Proud to stand up for students with disabilities and other minoritized students against this awful administration.

If your state just handed $447M to vouchers for kids already in private school, spare me the "it’s too much money" excuse when it comes to educating undocumented immigrant students. Follow the law of the land—Plyler still stands.

When our schools are under attack, what do we do? STAND UP, FIGHT BACK! 🔥💪 Yesterday, CTU members from across the city walked into their schools to show that we will not back down to Trump’s hateful agenda. When it comes to protecting our students, our educators will advocate for what’s right.

@edwriters.bsky.social Wondering if any national education writers are on the trail of destruction caused by adoption of Student Outcome Focused Governance (SOFG) by school boards across the country (leaving school closures and corruption in its wake).

1 year ago 3 2 0 0

I fear the goal of SOFG isn't so much something so nefarious like charters, but to get rid of democratically elected school boards. Our current reformers find the public very, very inconvenient.

It is a cult. Charismatic leader, literally in the rules not to question (you pay extra for non unanimous sofg votes), bizarre chants and rituals. Not normal, not serious
