(That IS entirely depending on the caveat that I clear my queue first, but I do think I will. I've been making good progress, but the whole "having to write descriptive text" continues to slow down my posting of finished art. 😅 I hope to have 4 to 5 pieces posted today! )
Naturally, it figures that my return should be for a Jurassic Park themed con! 😁 I likely will offer badges for at-con delivery, but I don't think they will match the con theme. Rather, I'd like to try selling 3D printed badges. I still have to play around with that, but there's plenty of time.
For some reason, being asked to promise potential hanging-outs or meals before the con even happens often filled me with anxiety in the past. I actually feel like I can't say no when I am asked. So, I prefer to make plans DURING the con, spontaneously. I won't make any plans beforehand --sorry!
With that said, precisely because I feel a tad anxious, please, PLEASE don't ask me to commit to any plans/dinners/hanging outs/etc. until the weekend of the con. My main goal this con is actually to spend quality time with Kitty.
To be honest, cons gradually kinda just... stopped being fun for me. It's why I stopped attending them (well, that and other stuff). But this time, I'll be rooming with one of my best friends in the entire world, @blankitart.bsky.social. So no matter what happens, I know I will have a good time!
It all happened so fast, and unexpectedly. After Kitty's visit, I floated the idea by Christopher, and did not expect AT ALL for him to say yes. Frankly, I'm still processing that he did, given that we've spent too much money this year as it is. But he did!! He really did.

To add to this, I don’t like it but I guess I won’t be deleting my Patreon. Nobody moved their pledges to PayPal anyway when I tried, and those $16/mo actually matter to me. 🫠
But anyway. If we are mutuals and you’re on dA and I don’t follow you already please let me know/link me in replies. People can easily disappear from one platform or other these days…
The comments I see on submissions, profiles, journals, are all kinda… either disrespectful, entitled, horny, or it feels like I’m getting a stroke reading them or the person writing them was having one. I’m not sure how to explain it.
One of the places I returned to is deviantART as “SquelflandArt” and I don’t think I’ll be posting art there or anything, given their AI policies (although consent is off by default) but primarily because I don’t really like what the userbase has become these days.
Never know if something ends up being sold to another company someday and goes back to its roots maybe. And things online are so weird and iffy these days that even if I don’t use a site it feels best to have a presence.
So recently I decided to reactivate/remake certain pages even if I don’t feel comfortable using the platforms given their policies or current cultures, just to avoid impersonation and in case those situations sometimes change (Tumblr kinda did, for example).
