For years I believed we needed our own version of South Africa's Truth and Reconciliation Commission. I now believe the first step in perfecting our Union is our version of the Nuremberg trials. Maybe center it in Minneapolis and hold all cruel federal public officials accountable.
Trump with peace prize medal.

I don't think the pre-Trump America ever returns, which should be a good thing. The biggest positive is there is no denying how rotten our systems have become. The need to burn it down and build anew is there, but does America have the courage to do so?
Who did this?
An image of a list of the 27 grievances against King George III in the Declaration of Independence. Donald Trump's regime has committed at least 20 of them in whole or in part, condensed into the list below: 1. He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good. 2. He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of representation … 3. He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing … his invasions on the rights of the people. 4. He has endeavoured to prevent the population of these States; … obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners … 5. He has obstructed the Administration of Justice … 6. He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone, for the tenure of their offices … 7. He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance. 8. He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures. 9. He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power. 10. He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution … giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation: 11. For Quartering large bodies of armed troops among us: 12. For protecting them … from punishment for any Murders which they should commit … 13. For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world: 14. For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent: 15. For depriving us … of the benefits of Trial by Jury: 16. For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences: 17. For … abolishing our most valuable Laws, and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments: 18. He has abdicated Government here, by declaring us out of his Protection and waging War against us. 19. He has … destroyed the lives of our people. 20. He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us …
The Declaration of Independence specifies 27 grievances with King George III and Britain.
Donald Trump and his regime have committed at least 20 of those same offenses highlighted in yellow.

This is like a thank-you from Pauly Shore, after Rob Schneider consoled him by saying the Academy Awards had lost credibility for not giving either of them a Best Actor Oscar nomination.
So if anti-fascists are Trump’s political enemies, what does that make Trump?
Charlie Kirk’s killer must face justice, but calling for the death penalty goes too far. The man isn’t homeless.

If more American companies won’t give an equity stake to the Trump government, I’m going to become an even bigger libertarian.
I wonder why Vladimir Putin spends so much time and money trying to undermine the United States when Republicans will do it for free.
Good morning. Trump is protecting Epstein files. The confederacy lost and they were traitors, mRNA vaccines are the future, cops shouldn’t wear masks, Trump cut taxes for the rich and ripped benefits from the poor.

After two of his young patients were pulled into CPS investigations over what he viewed as “overreach” by a child abuse team, Dr. Sharon recorded his concerns.
Then, he says, an attorney for his employer accused him of “weaponizing” his notes.

Why did Justice Amy Coney Barrett recuse herself from a case in which she had an obvious conflict of interest? Because she became too woke.

In better news the stiff tariffs on Gilligan’s Island may finally break the totalitarian rule of the Marxist DEI-swollen “professor”

Whether it's the Navajo code talkers helping to defeat the Nazis or it's Nazis removing all mention of the Navajo code talkers from the US military's website, the conflict between Nazis and Navajo code talkers has continued for over 80 years.

Damn. Not wrong. But damn.
"I always expected the first few weeks of Trump’s second term to be bad. But I did not expect to watch Trump and Elon Musk take a flame-thrower to the American government while congressional Democrats engage in the political equivalent of ASMR videos."
