Mt. Wrangell for the win
I swear the apple watch worked and the oligarchs have been trying to shove glasses into people's faces for like 10 years. The glasses will never catch on.
Itβs a travesty to not fund mRNA tech at the Federal level. π§ͺ
View from the air of a mountain range cut by deep glacial troughs. There is a basin to the east of the mountains with lakes and a river in it.
Tetons and Jackson Hole. From a Seattle to Denver flight, 2017. Just like to open this up and look at it once in awhile.
True, slightly exaggerated. Darwin's first best-seller was the geology-heavy Voyage of the Beagle, long before Origin of Species. Lyell's Principles of Geology sold well for decades. You weren't an educated person if you couldn't talk about a destination's geology when you traveled.
whatβs funny about this is that tarantino wrote this βezekiel 25:17β for the film. it isnβt actually in the bible. publicwitness.wordandway.org/p/hegseth-bo...
I wish we could go back to geology being popular again (but like without the racism and sexism and eugenics)
Yup!!
American higher Ed is a golden goose thatβs delivered medical, tech, and science innovations, bolstered soft power internationally, and is one of the largest employers in every state.
This admin is doing everything it can to kill it.
Very true! There are close - maybe also perfect!? terraces up in Montana south of Ennis along the Madison River valley.. some good ones around Dubois, Wy, also. But Iβm very much greater Yellowstone biased π€·ββοΈ
Those terraces, in that valley, are more than remarkable!β
i will vote for any candidate who offers up this slogan

"History will judge-" let me stop you right fucking there, history doesn't do fucking shit, I'm a historian, let's be clear here: elected officials need to do their fucking jobs, right now, before it happens, or future historians will judge THEM. Everyone knows and knew who Trump was.
This is the face of a lunar scientist who has just been told that the #Artemis II crew saw SEVERAL impact flashes (the flashes when meteors hit the lunar surface) in real time π ππ₯

The Texas Rangers' "9th Inning Rally Sombrero"
Homer Simpson's strikingly similar nacho sombrero
Oh my god, the Texas Rangers invented Homer's nacho hat
That would be wild to see in operation..
kid rock around?
Calc 1 & Stats at minimum. Then it really depends on what you are going to do, or might do.. with 120 credit hour degrees in the USA & all the other non-Geosciences requirements, thereβs limited room to require more math.
Itβs a source of constant shame for learned/professional societies, companies, and higher education institutions that they donβt offer a minimum/living wage to interns π°

Way more people than what my pic captured, but it was great!
You cannot be pro-green energy and be anti-mining. The energy transition requires a lot of mining for raw materials to build and maintain things like wind farms, solar panels, and batteries.
Manhattan Ks, No kings
