You know, when you’re watching a mindfuck time loop movie, it’s very cruel for the station to keep replaying the same ad, sometimes even multiple times per break.

Dawn over a silhouette of trees showing the moon, Jupiter, and Venus in a curved line
Now that school has started, it's finally hit me that my eldest is a senior and will be going away to college next year. It's an understatement to say I'm not ready for this.
The kids usually aren't into movies but they both wanted to see Superman, so we went last night. We all enjoyed it immensely; it delivered heart, heroism, and (of course, coming from James Gunn) humor. Highly recommended if you didn't care for the grimdark Snyderverse.
An image professing that Canada has set up a LGBT+ suicide and mental health crisis hotline. There's a picture of a white landline phone with a little Canadian flag on it.
If you've seen this image, you need to read this from TransLifeline. translifeline.org/clarifying-m...
Jason Mantzoukas is every bit the agent of chaos I'd hoped he'd be on #Taskmaster.
One of my favorite movie scenes… so delightfully uncomfortable.
I sincerely hope that Pope Francis' replacement has his same values.
I can't believe Jack Black is older than me and still has the energy of a 5-year-old mainlining Pixy Stix.
On the left, a goblin in brightly colored, feathery finery; on the right, wearing dark clothing including a stocking cap and long overcoat.
Zapgaz when she's trying to convince people she's a real priest, vs hanging out with her goblin buddies.
I’m not usually a take-a-picture-of-your-food kinda gal, but if you’re in Tallahassee you have to check out the Comeback Tacos truck (in the lot across from Midtown Caboose.)

I was going to do, “Inside of you are Three Men and a Baby,” but that just sounds like pregnancy porn.
Every day I get closer to understanding how it must have felt when the incoming Senator was Caligula's horse.
An unstained wooden deck with a railing and steps running along the back of a single-story house.
It took us a decade, but we finally got the back porch replaced!

Thankfully the roads here are clear of ice today, even if my windshield isn’t.
A thin blanket of snow covering a front yard; neighbors’ houses and trees across the street
A tiny “snowman” in front of a brick wall
Last night my two teens — who’ve never seen more than a flurry where we live — were running around the front yard laughing, pelting snowballs at each other.
A Twitter post from David Ehrlich reading "David Lynch gave us the language we needed to better articulate the indescribable strangeness of our shared reality. “Lynchian” is so overused because it’s a viscerally understandable word without any known synonyms. I can’t imagine a more beautiful artistic legacy than that."
I've written and deleted two posts about the passing of David Lynch because my words just aren't cutting it, but these do:
*frozen in place with knees slightly bent and hands outstretched, fingers splayed, as if hearing a crack when walking over a frozen pond* But William Gibson and David Lynch are still good, right?
That was the Irish Cream one you said you didn't like, so I *had* to give it a try. (It was tasty, but I stay away from Monster as a general rule because I don't want my heart to explode.)
SO good.
I told him I was working on the first of the emails he'd sent me and he said, "No, I mean with your friend?"
LET ME TELL YOU how much it means to have a boss that gives a damn about you as a person and not just as an employee. 2/2
I have a friend in the hospital and an urgent project at work. I had three emails from my boss this morning; he rang me up on Teams first thing and asked, "What's the latest?" 1/2
Not even a contest:
You too?! It's probably my favorite musical, score-wise. And there's some nostalgia there; @auntieval.bsky.social and I used to sing it when we had sleepovers together in middle school.
The sky at sunrise, filled with clouds in vivid blue and orange.
The sky is beautiful this morning.
Clever!
A can of Java Monster (Irish cream flavor) and a bag of Mexican street corn Cheetos in front of a computer monitor with World of Warcraft playing on it.
An energy drink, Cheetos and World of Warcraft—what is this, 2004?
