I also love this style. It's simple enough to fit more modern builds, but detailed enough for traditional builds too. Really versatile, like MCM stuff.
I was thinking that too. I think they confused some people by trying to make it look like Monkey Bars or something, but it's new columns at least. Not sure about the trim.
The outfit is reminiscent of Emit Relevart from TS3:ITF. The BG wraparound shades seem like a closer match, however.
I wonder if they will upload/make a Gallery Sim of him after the event, perhaps? The model Sim shown above doesn't have quite the same Doc/Mad Scientist vibes.
I'm thinking it's referencing nostalgia, rather than physical time travel. Fits the Franchise Roadmap birthday stuff and may be tied to the event?
I'm wondering if it's an additional hair, or if it's a replacement for the medium, wavy hair used by Alex (the tutorial roommate sim). Looks like a better, more textured version of that style.
I think a background similar to the TS2 family photoshoot backdrop or TS2 loading screen would work well with this layout.
Depends on the Vampire, but they normally have WFH/Freelance jobs if they do, for Vamp-friendly hours. With the premades:
Caleb is usually a Food Critic.
Lilith is usually a Yoga Instructor, though I think Equestrian would fit her too.
Vlad is a Musician, usually just freelance via composing songs.
BACC = Build a City Challenge. Rotational/Building. Start with a blank world and 1/a few founding Sims and settle a blank world, building homes and community lots/businesses as you go.
ISBI = I'm Surrounded by Idiots. A legacy where you can only control the current heir and all other Sims on auto.
I avoid any challenges that specify everything about the entire lineage ahead of time. I tried a couple and they tend to bore me silly.
However, I do enjoy the Random Legacy challenge (randomise for each gen/sim as they are born) and have also dabbled with BACC and ISBI gameplay.
I have, but only to remove cash, not add it. I like my Sims to suffer a bit.
I need that one with the Medieval Plumbob. *Swipes*
Feel free to check out my forum thread. I posted on my timeline. It's kind of a text wall, not so many pics unless to indicate something or by request.
I usually do one for EPs and GPs if we get them again, I cover gameplay things rather than assets.

If you are on the fence about purchasing #TheSims4LifeAndDeath you should definitely check out my forum Q&A for information on the various features and other content included.
I'm still updating it with new information and pictures while I play in Early Access, so keep checking back for more.
Welcome to the Afterlife area of Ravenwood, coming with The Sims 4: Life and Death EP. The foreground shows an eerie, but peaceful shaded area under the trees in Mourningvale. There is a fishing pond to the right and Alice's tree in the background, shrouded in the persistent mist. A field of purple flowers lies between there and here, brightening an otherwise spooky scene.
Looking towards the fishing dock in Mourningvale shows the unusual green colour of the sky. The cool tones of the swamp water, foliage and sky are contrasted by the rich dark brown of bare branches, long wooden jetty, and Neo Romanian architecture accented with red roof tiles. Can a place be both creepy and calm at the same time?

It's that time again when I start my Q&A thread on The Sims Forums to answer gameplay questions about the new pack, #TheSims4LifeandDeath - Get your robes ironed!
Feel free to post a question and I'll work on the replies tomorrow!

Mourningvale, here I come!
A village with a countryside and a wooded area, so similar to HoB in that sense.
However, the architecture is a lot more Mediterranean, roof/details more pointy and overall has a lot of Moorish influence, which isn't really a thing in the UK, at least not in the villages.
Romanian Revival style.
I have been working on a legacy challenge for a few months now! I am ready to share it here! It can be found on my blog at heraldsims.com but will put the graphics in the comments.
Makes me think of The Wind in the Willows, or Beatrix Potter characters.

Week 3 of Reaper's Rewards done! Finding it much quicker to complete by jumping between premades with the necessary skills.
Decided to try out the CAS on Cassandra and Mortimer Goth. Cassie got the earrings and purple jeans for Cold Weather, while Morty got the boots to replace his loafers.
I also had this issue, so checked it next time I planned a date.
If you hover over the button for that or the Mean date activity it specifically states being Mischievous/Mean to non-date sims.
Sims like to dish it out/watch it, but they refuse to take it.

The default Blender modifiers menu. All items have gray icons and it's difficult to differentiate between them unless you closely read every name
The Bforartists version of the same menu. Each tool has a different icon in bright, readable colors. It's much easier to tell the difference between tools, even if you squint.
A friend shared this with me, so now I'm sharing with you:
This is a fork of Blender that has an overhaul of the interface that adds colored icons, verbose tooltips, and more industry-standard behavior across the board.
