They seem to have stumbled upon something called Renagen+, a mysterious executable meant to run in MSDOS (how spooky!) that claims to "install Renamon", or something equally nonsensical. It's probably just an archaic kind of desktop stripper. But as the installer runs its course, Patty feels something might be off, and it's not just a nagging sense that she just downloaded a virus -- her firmware is straight-up missing!

Panning back out, we see that Patty is undergoing some kind of terrible transformation!
