Seriously. I live in a townhouse community, not 55+ but most are because it’s the only place like it in our very rural county. The homes are spacious. If we suddenly were taxed higher, people would sell but these places would sit because younger people in our area can’t afford them.

Let me get this straight. I’ve paid property & school taxes my entire life without having children in the school system. Now that I’m older I get taxed more? Because I’m old? Where’s the tax money going? What if I live where there isn’t much in the way of other housing?
