The Aurealis Awards ceremony is taking place THIS SATURDAY as part of GenreCon in Brisbane. With a beautiful venue, and hosted by the always engaging Eugen Bacon, it's shaping up to be a great night, and if you can make it in person, you absolutely won't regret it!
The 2025 Aurealis Awards shortlists will be announced in the first week of February.
NOTE: All 2025 entrants and judges are entitled to the $30 ticket price - no further discounts will be available for finalists.
Current full members of GenreCon 2026 must book their free spot using the GenreCon Ticketholder Admission ticket.
Attendance at the Aurealis Awards ceremony is included with the full GenreCon membership, but event-only tickets for the ceremony are also available.

The Convenors' Award for Excellence may be given to non-fiction, artwork, film, television, electronic or multimedia work, or other Australian speculative fiction related work which brings credit or attention to the speculative fiction genres.

Nominations for the Convenors' Award for Excellence close on December 31, 2025. This is a special Award for particular achievement in speculative fiction or related areas in the year for work that is not otherwise eligible in any of the existing categories for the #AurealisAwards.
