Resident evil 4, on the other hand, is extremely interesting because tank controls with over the shoulder camera is hilarious. Having a lot of fun with that so far
While I think re3 (original) is a unique game with a lot of elements that weren't in the first 2 games, and while these elements should work on paper, I will not be finishing it because the implementation of these elements makes me want to punch my monitor. I will also not be playing the remake
Personally, after the 3rd death id get the hint and started playing more passive so she cant get a huge lead and steamroll the team, but no running at her when your half her souls is definitely a good idea. Totally not like we're in the second highest rank or anything. Fuck you.
Man I love when im having a great lane, game is going really well, and then 10 minutes in I press tab to see green lane has died 20 times to haze somehow and now she's 10k above everyone else.
No. No no no no no. Fuck no. She's more moral than Newsom, sure, but she has even less of a chance of winning.
This trend of every video of Laura Loomer having increasingly obvious editing done to her face would be so funny if they weren't using ai to make it.
Also if I see one more discord server with a fake 1 notification thing on its icon im leaving. Im just leaving every server that does this.
I feel like some game studios put more effort into their April fools updates than any of their other updates, and the April fools stuff goes away a day later and rarely leads to more players and is almost never actually fun. I dont get why it still happens
Theres also a solid minute of this second episode which is a still image of nolan covering his ears with a pillow
Okay how has the invincible animation gotten even worse this is getting ridiculous. I thought last season had problems but there's this section with asteroids where its literally low quality pngs of rocks moving around. I actually laughed out loud
I say this right after finishing the second game so I cant wait to load up resident evil 4 where Leon goes "yes Mr. President i think your fantastic. The way you handled the middle east was just impeccable"
The argument is always that there is no such thing as a good cop because a good cop would quit the job or get fired for not going along with corruption, but Leon just like. Murders everyone. A more pessimistic person would say the only good cop is a dead one, and Leon fulfills that request.
Thinking about it, Leon Kennedy might be the ultimate "acab except _____". Not only was he only becoming an officer for idealistic reasons, but the department was corrupt as hell and all zombies by the time he got there, and then he killed a bunch of them.
Seriously, words cannot describe the feeling of running from the tyrant after he moves the helicopter, making it to the main hall to save and look through my items, and still hearing the footsteps get closer, and closer, and then the door to the main hall open. Fuck, its so scary
I dont have a least favorite section honestly. I think everything was great here. The horror is taken way higher than re1 so even sections with little gameplay have an incredible atmosphere that more than makes up for it.
6 hours and 49 minutes to complete, 40 saves. Favorite section of the game is definitely the latter half of the police station when the tyrant shows up. It's a very unique concept that ive heard is expanded on in the third game. It just becomes so much more tense.
Ada especially was such a good character. I love her section of the game, I love her interactions with Leon, her backstory seems really interesting. I just hope she isnt a character that makes 1 appearance and never returns.
A Hero Emerges... What a fantastic game. I think re2 might be my favorite survival horror game I've played. No section of the game dragged on, none of the characters were unlikeable, the gameplay was phenomenal. The only problem is i just dont see how it goes up from here.
Chris "my boss just pointed a gun at me and showed me an abomination against God so im going to laugh at him and insult him for no reason" Redfield
Chris "you stay here and investigate the area i just investigated because the game would be less horrifying if there was a second character present" Redfield
And yes, that means I have played re2 right after re1 instead of going to re0. I heard re0 didn't have item boxes and have thus decided to just watch a video recapping the game until such a time when I believe I have the mental fortitude to handle even worse inventory management
It took 5 minutes for Leon Kennedy to have better characterization than Chris Redfield had after hours
Chris run, 14 hours playtime, 18/44 achievements, I'd give the game an overall 7/10.
One thing it does really well is that im left wanting more. I want to play the rest of these games and figure out the lore, the different viruses and the ways they affect different things are so interesting. From zombies to dogs to plants to spiders, whatever those things in the lab were, the tyrant
Im not a huge fan of the characters, both in the way they're written and the way they're acted. Both Jill and Rebecca are very one note characters, Chris is a wooden board, and the "reveal" of wesker might as well not exist because he wears sunglasses indoors of course hes the fucking villain.
I had to force myself away from the game at certain points when I knew I had to stop, but I just didn't want to. In a weird way, the action is actually not that engaging. I had a lot more fun just exploring the different areas and realizing this whole thing is so much bigger than I thought.
YOU DA MAN CHRIS! God, that was a really good game. It took until about halfway through the mansion to get over the fixed camera, and it still tripped me up a couple times in later sections (specifically aqua ring) and the voice acting was... something, but the gameplay was so fun.
It's really funny to me that the overt IHNMBIMS reference character in TADC is just a mouth that can scream.
Was he even good at fighting? Was there any merit to those jokes? Or did the early internet all just happen to decide, at the same time, that he was a badass tough guy for no reason that didn't apply to countless other action movie stars?
