First pass at this year's @webdevconf.com site is coming together, and I've been having some fun this year...
a few months ago i had the immense privilege to speak about Websites at @webdevconf.com in Bristol — i've taken some time to improve on these ideas and build a permanent online home for the essay, which i intend to grow and improve over time 🤍
If you attended WDC2025 on Friday you should have received an email about providing feedback on your experience of the event.
It would be great if you have 5 minutes to submit your feedback to us, this will help make WDC2026 even better!
We've had a few attendees, and speakers ask about our WDC2025 intro video.
Its up on YouTube, for now!

We're at @webdevconf.com today! Look for Kate furiously taking notes during the talks and pick up a Krystal card at any of the tables!

Screenshot of a transcript which reads: “Buy your ticket early. I know Dave Lattore has been talking about this a lot whenever he does one of his state of the browsers in London, which is one of the events that I go to whenever it's on. And it's always buy your tickets early, because otherwise it must be a nightmare to predict. It's very hard, and particularly for something like the state of the browser for Dave, that's a one man show. Kind of like Beyond Teller and Mark Tealer there, basically it's a one man show. And you've got individuals there who are relying on it.”

A rendering of a gameboy cart PCB with "retrobyrem.uk" at the top, and a switch with labels "learn" and "test".
I might have gone utterly over the top for a 15min talk at @webdevconf.com doing stuff that makes zero difference to the talk.
So yes, I have designed my own PCB for a gameboy cart that has dual ROMs that includes my talk _and_ a ROM for repairing the Gameboy.
(and yes, it's wide, it's shellless)
