Cool profile of @metr.orgâs work in the NYT today! Particularly like this from my colleague Ajeya: âMETR is an organization that asks... what we think would be most valuable for the world to know about A.I. and its risks, and then the answers are what they are.â

none of these words are in the bible (or the atproto glossary)

It's on Roomy. Message me on Germ. It's literally on Streamplace. You can find it on Leaflet. Go to Eurosky. Use Tangled.
screenshot of a post: "It's on Tubu. It's literally on Heebee. It's on Poodee with ads. It's literally on Dippy. You can probably find it on Weeno. Dude it's on Gumpy. It's a Pheebo original. It's on Poob. You can watch it on Poob. You can go to Poob and watch it. Log onto Poob right now."
what it feels like catching up on new atproto projects (lovingly)
1/ ProPublica collected handwritten letters in mid-January from children held at the Dilley Immigration Processing Center, the same facility where 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos was taken.
Hundreds of kids are still detained.
Weâll let the childrenâs words speak for themselves. đ§”
Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.
Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.

apparently the one-liner "laurens i like you a lot" in the musical is supposed to be a nod to this
"alexander hamilton" by ron chernow!
excerpt from ron chernow's biography on alexander hamilton. this paragraph describes hamilton's letter to john laurens where he describes eliza schuyler
reading alexander hamilton's biography and becoming a hamilton-laurens relationship truther
> hamilton meets eliza schuyler
> decides to marry her
> doesn't tell best friend john laurens
> when he finally does, he's like "she's fine i guess but you're still my #1"
> historians: "just friends"
I wrote an op-ed on the world-class STEM research ecosystem in the United States, and how this ecosystem is now under attack on multiple fronts by the current administration: newsletter.ofthebrave.org/p/im-an-awar...
For example, Anthropicâs MCP (an open protocol equivalent for AI models) has been adopted by many other labs including OpenAI, and Iâm unsure if a non-frontier lab introducing MCP would have the same influence (at least at the same speed)
if Elon never purchased Twitter and
- Bluesky stays within Twitter to develop atproto
- Twitter keeps original intention to adopt atproto
- atproto now has 300M+ users
Maybe that wouldâve applied much more pressure to other mainstream networks to adopt open standards, given Twitterâs size
on the surface Elonâs purchase of Twitter has made the need for open networks (somewhat) clear to consumers, but Iâm not convinced this was net more effective for the movement for open protocols
hi đ
if it did don't you think you would have found out by now

though it seems like this is increasingly how all political accounts use social media now, which i dislike
yeah, disappointing and frustrating that the sitting VP would take time out of his day to intentionally provoke people who are still his constituents
even better
