I was struggling to understand my autistic son - until we watched an episode of Doctor Who A combination of autism and ADHD caused outbursts, confusion and stress that my son couldnโ€™t understand โ€“ until he saw David Tennant behaving the same way

Great example of an analogy giving a useful understanding of something in a difficult situation ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿคจ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Referee Hollie Davidson: โ€˜The stuff shouted from the sidelines was ridiculous โ€“ all the classicsโ€™ The 33-year-old Scot has overcome misogyny and abuse and, she tells Donald McRae, is proud of becoming the first woman to take charge of a menโ€™s Six Nations match

A terrific role model. Haters and abusers, you are wrong, the world needs people like Hollie, not you.

Mhairi Black: Peter Mandelson is just tip of an iceberg in UK politics As we pore through the millions of documents that have been released so far from the Epstein Files, all I can think is how much worse the stuff theyโ€ฆ

I wish I lived in a country that made giant biscuits.

2 months ago 14 1 5 0

You would not regret it.

Whenever we go to the highlands, we ensure we go into Inverness and visit the Harry Gow bakery (spoiler - they won)
and fill up with their sandwiches, cakes, pies and biscuits - literally.

Sadly, we can't get the giant one, but the normal Empire Biscuits etc are awesome ๐Ÿ˜‹

New wood-burning stoves to carry health warnings in UK plan Pollution from wood burners kills thousands but proposed emissions limit would cut toxic particles by 10%

www.theguardian.com/environment/...

"Wood-burning stoves and fires in homes are linked to 2,500 early deaths a year in the UK, according to a recent study, as well as 3,700 cases of diabetes and 1,500 cases of asthma."

It's simple, stop burning stuff. ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

What a busy day that was. 2 washes done and hung up, 2 folk helped, hoose hoovered, birds fed, bloody black cat chased away from killing another bird, 200 cards packed. Wan dinner made, wan dinner ate, some telly watched, wan kitchen tidied, loads of admin done and wan Christmas present setup ๐Ÿ˜€

I keep saying folks need a hobby that involves their hands. I don't care if it's knitting, painting, drawing, scrubbing behind the toilet until it's cleaner than an operating room, getting free puzzles from your local Buy Nothing group....you need to do something with your damn hands!

Two amazing wins tonight with #Wales scoring 7 and home advantage for a play off.

Then we have #Scotland getting a very dramatic late win to top their group to go straight to the #WorldCup next summer.

Its wonderful having 2 teams to support - #Welsh by birth #Scot by 30 years living here.

It is possible to cherish the BBC as an institution while also saying that BBC News is failing very badly, day after day, in its duty to inform and that it always fails in a right-wing direction. It desperately needs to recover its integrity

Before, BBC journalists prided ourselves on people being unable to guess our private personal politics by programmes or content we made.

We grilled politicians equally and fairly. We spent hours assessing running orders for relevance and news value.

That has changed Democracy is the worse for it.

Every single person that voted FOR Brexit, whether left wing, right wing or just downright braindead, are responsible for the rise of Reform, their capture of the thick and stupid with help from corrupt media & it will be the utter demise of the UK & its economy.

Be careful for what you wish for!
