Two types of people you should avoid:

-- those who willingly call themselves 'content creators'

-- those who don't like nutella

sick, disgusting individuals

You’re several years late to the ’Billy Donovan is a very good coach’ bandwagon, but welcome nonethe less.

People getting sucked into the smallest samples of #good, only for their favourite mid-tier team again completely disregarding a loaded draft

The thing I like most about this 3-0 Bulls start is, when the let down hits, it will hit extra hard

Extremely 'I'm watching the Spurs game' take, and a prisoner of the moment one at that, but this stuff is truly revolutionary and breathtaking.

Obvious statement: Wemby has GOAT potential

Seems as if I’ve reached my “old guy doesn’t like the young kids” stage of fandom.

That, or I’m just a kent.

Maybe both.

Hot take: I really don’t like the stuff Matas says.

Fans eat it up, and I understand why.

I’ll be on an island on this one, but hearing a sophomore talking about winning championships, being an all-defense guy and most improved etc., it sounds more delusional than it does fact-based confidence.

Matas Buzelis talking about winning championships as being the benchmark for success.

Issue is, he plays for the Chicago Bulls.

The U.S. is a failed State on so many different levels, and I don’t think it ever turns around, but I so hope it does because there are too many friends and good people over there and I worry for them all.

Only one more month of having to put up with “he’s only 22” talk about Josh Giddey

"But they're going to have $80m in expiring money next offseason!"

Yes, and after they give Coby $25-30m, re-sign Ayo to $15-20m, maybe a couple of other Jalen Smith-esque deals on the fringes -- and Pat's money still on the books -- they'll be at the cap line with the same team.

Cool.

7 months ago 4 0 1 0

You will see lots of talk about % of the cap, rather than the actual dollars.

That's a correct statement.

This Giddey deal, in isolation, is fine.

The problem is -- as it always is in CHI -- is they stack a bunch of meh guys on 15% of the cap and all of a sudden they're capped out with meh guys

7 months ago 3 0 1 0

It took Giddey and the Bulls 70-plus days to negotiate a deal where they ultimately -- and obviously -- met in the middle?

Efficient use of everybody's time.

The theoretical definition of cognitive dissonance acted out in practice; an example:

Bulls fans: these players are bad and stink

Also Bulls fans: why can’t this coach win more games im so shocked this is happening

If the Bulls are trying to get me back as a fan, adding Yuki Kawamura to their Summer League roster is an appealing start…

There might be one bad contract (Pat), but there’s a lot of not good ones that total up to be a lot of money for not much. Fortunately, most of it is expiring — not that I expect them to these expirings into anything meaningful
