My statement on the resignation of Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick.
Posts by Oliver Larkin for Congress
Join me and @jacobinmag.bsky.social on YouTube LIVE as we talk about DSA, the anti-war movement, and what it's like to run as a Democratic Socialist in the South.
Looking forward to seeing you in chat in half an hour! 🌹
While that's already more townhalls than Rep. Moskowitz has hosted in his three years in office, we plan to host plenty more over the next few months!
Be sure to follow our events page to join the next one: www.oliverforcongress.com/volunteer
Earlier this month, I got to meet with over three dozen constituents for our campaign's first townhall in Deerfield Beach. There, we talked about refunding Tri-Rail, protecting the Florida Reef, and protecting our immigrant neighbors.
If you want leaders who actually take on corporate power and improve people’s lives, help fuel this campaign. Every dollar powers organizing and turnout for fighters like @oliveralarkin.bsky.social.

We're proud to endorse @oliveralarkin.bsky.social for Congress in FL-23.
A union organizer running on Medicare for All, Oliver will go to Washington to fight for working people — not vote with Republicans and trade stocks on inside information like his opponent @repmoskowitz.bsky.social.
In 2022, Jared Moskowitz was the only Democrat on the FL-23 primary ballot to oppose the full legalization of recreational marijuana.
In light of 4/20, let's have a representative who supports legalization.
I look forward to engaging with PCCC's grassroots activists as we build an affordable South Florida for all, centered on economic justice and on taking the fight to the billionaire class.
I'm proud to have the endorsement of @boldprogressives.org, one of the largest progressive organizations in the US. Amid a national affordability crisis, the PCCC has championed its solutions – Medicare for All, a living wage, and taxing the rich to pay their fair share.
Let's elect folks to Congress who understand what it is like to struggle, share, push, and change things for the better.
We have a lot of rebuilding to do, and Oliver is going to be the person we deserve for that. ⬇️
In struggle, I learned an important lesson about solidarity. Two years later, I would join the organizing committee to win a union in my workplace with the @NewsGuild.org @WBNG.org of CWA, part of a campaign unionization effort with @CWGworkers.bsky.social that continues to this day.
Local 1102's president Steve Lawton, one of the most inspiring labor leaders I met on that campaign, had speeches by the Dr. King playing on a projector. We watched the New York primary debate in that office. I canvassed the neighborhood where Eric Garner had once lived.
Their member-to-member phone banks were already turning out votes before I arrived.
The strike on April 13 kicked things into overdrive. CWA members were now on strike duty, taking the Staten Island ferry to picket in Times Square while still phone banking and knocking on doors.
6 days before the 2016 NY primary, 40,000 Verizon workers with @IBEWInternational.bsky.social & @CWAUnion.bsky.social went out on strike, the largest U.S. labor action in 5 years.
As Sen. Bernie Sanders' regional field director for Staten Island, NYC, I was working from CWA Local 1102's union hall.
Two Socialists, One Purpose: Single-handedly fixing the relationship between the US and Canada
Join me and @mapletakes.bsky.social tomorrow at 9:30 PM on Twitch as we talk trains, public healthcare, anti-militarism, and building international solidarity across North America.

That's the @demsocialists.bsky.social difference, and it's how we are going to win this race to bring an affordable Florida for all. Shoutout to all the @dsaoforlando.bsky.social members who drove down to Broward to help us canvass.
A better world is possible!
UPDATE: Our DSA Kickoff Canvass location has MOVED to Veterans Memorial Park
7044 NW 1st St, Margate, FL 33063
Looking forward to seeing you all at 9:30!
People ask what my message will be in the general election against a Republican.
Well, I’m getting some awfully good practice right now because Jared Moskowitz is behaving as one.
Thank you to @joyannreid.bsky.social for having me on the show!
Join us TOMORROW for our next DSA Kickoff Canvass in Margate, where we will go door-to-door to share our campaign's message for a more affordable South Florida for all.
We are fighting for:
- Medicare for all
- Abolish ICE
- End forever wars
Proud to have the endorsement of @mpoweraction.bsky.social , the largest Muslim digital advocacy organization in the U.S. This campaign is about ending endless war, defending civil rights, and building a government accountable to people, not corporations. Grateful for their support.
Jared Moskowitz bought Caterpillar stock, and now Congress is advancing the sale of the same bulldozers used to destroy homes and displace communities. This is what people mean when they say Congress is broken.
The House is voting on FISA.
The GOP bill does NOT require a government warrant for unaccountable mass surveillance on Americans.
I spoke to @theintercept.com in December about FISA Section 702.
Moskowitz OPPOSED a warrant requirement in 2024.
We need a Rep. who defends our civil liberties.
People should back Oliver Larkin.
He's a real one, and we're going to work together in Congress to do a full arms embargo on Israel and end all our endless wars abroad.
AIPAC just thanked Jared Moskowitz for ignoring international law on military funding to Israel. I’m running to replace him.
AIPAC-backed Jared Moskowitz is radically out of step with FL23, where 2/3 of Democratic voters want the U.S. to condition, reduce, or cease military aid to Israel.
My name is Oliver Larkin, the Democrat primarying him. Please donate to fuel our fight: secure.actblue.com/donate/ofc_s...
Try to come up with a name for this anonymous quote that isn’t also Jared Moskowitz 🥸
Tremendous victory for the LGBTQ+ community and an important precedent for FL23.
Fort Lauderdale is the only FL city defying DeSantis' order to remove our Pride flag on Sebastian St near the site of the Marlin Beach Hotel, the first gay friendly resort in the US opened in 1972.
We have a packed week of volunteer events ahead of us!
-Join us this Saturday for our next monthly DSA kickoff
-Attend our first AFROSOC canvass this Sunday
-And spend the evening with our canvassers over at Oakland Park
If you're not in FL, don't fret, we have our phonebanks!
