(2/2) I see it CONSTANTLY. It might sound obvious from the horror stories you hear online of bad deals that got signed, but it goes to the ROOTS of the industry. There are many failed talents who either abuse genuine talented devs. Talk to your fellow devs often to make sure you're safe.

There are A LOT of people who fail UPWARD in the game industry. What do I mean by this? Abusive practices are easy when you have an influx of new devs/talent who aren't "business savvy" falling for cheap tricks. (1/2)
