Absolutely yes. I recently got back on Instagram after a few months off to make a page for documenting my weaving progress and to try to reset the rage algorithm. I felt my brain chemistry change within an hour. Had me manically looking for property to build a home studio at lmao

Tried to convert my draft but alas, I remain having no clue what I'm doing

Pretty quickly realized this is a simplified draft for a very different loom tieup than I can do but it still looks pretty cool

Decided to actually try a draft next after I use up the rest of my warp, printed & laminated it so I can take notes and mark where I am for when I take breaks lol

Pulled my first piece off the loom this morning! It's a chaotic test ...scarf...tapestry... thing that documents me figuring out how treadles work & how to use a floating selvedge lol. Still gotta wet/dry finish it & remove the spare ends but I'm very excited (as documented by my shit eating grin)

Also we're ignoring my misplaced heddle thank u xoxo

Learning how to weave has been really fun, especially seeing my selvedges get better as I go LOL

And yes, that is a 3 inch rule (centimeters on bottom) that I have tattooed on my index finger and it was the co-star of the show

The process was lowkey infuriating at first, but once I got in a groove and found a chair that didn't kill my back (the bench she gave me is brutal) it was quite fun

This thing was absolutely the star of the show and I would have had a complete meltdown without it lol
