pnpm v10.16.0 adds "minimumReleaseAge", a setting for defining how long a version has to have been published before pnpm will install it.

A nice countermeasure against accidental installs of short-lived compromised packages before they get taken down. Not a 100% fix, but a great additional step!

Dang, Apple‘s just copying @raycast.com‘s homework. And once again they’re cheating with their system level APIs. I really hope Raycast can tap into them as well!

If you want more inspiration, check out their YouTube channel where they showcase different people‘s setup. My favorite one is with Max Stoiber, who combines Raycast with Karabiner Elements. It’s probably not for everyone, but for power users it’s pure gold.

Another essential one for me are extensions for my IDEs that allow me to search recent projects. Need to open up an old project? One shortcut, brief search, done. No finding the „Open“ menu in the app first or anything. And I’m optimistic such extensions exist for whatever tools you use regularly.

The emoji picker is a billion times better than the native one (make sure to give it a shortcut)! Can’t live without clipboard history, file search, or the gif search extension either (looking at you, Slack), each ofc with their own shortcut.
