Also to add... what a finish by Zubi. More of that please.

Just rewatching the highlights from last night. Although it went against us there was a very good use case for VAR. The linesman didn't raise his flag for Zubi's goal despite Gyok being several yards offside. I'd be seething if that went against us pre-VAR. Exactly what it was introduced for.
Martinelli powered himself up, dribbled into space then floated a peach into the box for King Kai. Ice cold touch and finish from our German. That was the sprinkle of stardust we needed to complete a professional away performance.
I quite like the team tonight. Glad we've got Trossard there to offset the Nelli, Gyok, Mads run fest. Gyokores has to be nailed on to grab a goal and maybe Martinelli can do his thing off the bench. A clean sheet would be most welcome too. COYG!
Positive news on Ebz if true, but still feel like we need Saka for the run in. Hincapie and Timber are also crucial. Hope they can all be fit and firing for us in the next week or so.
Out of the two cups we would have prioritised the least at the start of the season. At least we have some respite from rearranged midweek fixtures and hopefully with some players back can kick on. It could still be an incredible season!
Now do it where we lose our next two league games...
Thanks for putting this out Scott! Out of interest and with your fan hat on instead of your data analyst hat... do you think there will be a 8+ point gap between the top two at the end of the season? I have a feeling it'll go to the last one or two games of the season either way.

Whatever happens, however it has to be spun, the important thing is that the referees were right one way or another (and / or that Arsenal were wrong).
I felt like this Dale Johnson guy has been trolling us for a while now but was open to it being my bias. Now I'll just avoid him altogether. It's just bait. Funnily enough this guy is from Salford too.
There were two articles posted one after the other. The first buried that we should have had a penalty along with two other games where pens were incorrectly not given, but the article was about VAR accuracy. Then this where the headline is "no VAR mistake" when the ref made the mistake.
Thought Mikel got his tactics wrong today, though it may have been enforced on him with Eze, Ode & Merino injuries. Two deep lying midfielders leaves us light going up the pitch. Zubi should have come off for an attacker sooner imho. Still, at least we aren't the spuds today, and glad of the break.
Declan Rice you lovely lovely man
Mullered them in that first half and we deservedly lead. Rice, Zubi & Trossard all look at it, and the strike by Eze was incredible. More of that in the second half please.
There is so much wrongdoing in this Chelsea case that loads of it is going to get lost. For example the Premier League banned third party ownership in 2008 and the documents show Chelseaโs owners through an Abramovich-controlled company was engaged in it for years after that.
As Arsenal's possession game sputters, the grind has become routine. He's my long-read on situational play, the long-ball dilemma, the Zubi-Rice pivot, the cost of defending, the advanced data from @gradientsports.bsky.social, and how to improve from here.
Read this earlier on. What is the point of Dale Johnson exactly? Remember the puff pieces about Liverpool last season too? I guess it generates clicks which is the aim of the game.
Dowman's a shoe in surely?
New Tom Curren drop! ๐๐ฎโ๐จ
Hi guys, love the pod. With Gyokores' bullish defensive header, Martinelli outjumping Pickford for the assist and Dowman's controlled downward bouncer to take it past the first Everton defender... are these the three best consecutive headers in Arsenal's history?

Just about calmed down after the incredible end to that game. What a talent we have on our hands with Max Dowman. If West Ham can get something against City this could be a pivotal day in the title race. #arsenal
I still remember Denilson's screamer and little head bop dance. That was one of his best moments for us.
I hope you're right, but I can't see us extending the lead this weekend. I've got all my hopes on their trip to Stamford Bridge, though that'll be easier if they don't have to play Bayern in the 1/4 finals now.
Putting to one side our performance last night... before the game kicked off would you have taken a score draw? I think I would have.
I'm going to start trying to interact a little more on here instead of just lurking around when the football is on. Feel free to say hello!
What. A. Surprise.
Probably not, but we can dream.
Yes it is all in our heads
