Instead of asking chatgpt, why not ask a librarian? You'll get real answers and they won't tell you to kill yourself.

Lords vote to uphold decriminalisation of abortion and secure historic pardons for women Last night, the House of Lords voted to back abortion reform passed by MPs last year which will take abortion out of the English and Welsh criminal law for women in relation to their own pregnancies, ...

Brilliant news. The Lords backed amendments to decriminalise abortion in England and Wales, end police investigations, to pardon women who had previously been prosecuted, and fought off anti-abortion amendments designed to limit choice and access. 🧵

Zack Polanski: We are taking Labour's voters
Zack Polanski: We are taking Labour's voters YouTube video by PoliticsJOE

This is a great Zack Polanski & Caroline Lucas interview.

It struck me when CL talked about going to other countries to 'learn the lessons' on drug policy and harm reduction.

Time for an honest grown up approach to drug use and the priority of harm reduction.

Palantir needs to keep its grubby hands off our NHS.

The NHS is the best thing about this country.

Anyone who plans on ripping it up and handing over the shreds to the highest bidder has no place anywhere near politics.

And that’s before you even begin to consider any of this Epstein stuff.

Book banners LOVE to say that they're ONLY banning books from school libraries. Remember, they're always lying to you. And this is from 2025!

A color sketch in blues, purples, and literal splashes of red of a sauropod dinosaur crushing a theropod while two others watch in horror. Beneath are the words “Crush Your Oppresssors”.

A color sketch in blues, purples, and literal splashes of red of a sauropod dinosaur crushing a theropod while two others watch in horror. Beneath are the words “Crush Your Oppresssors”.

I basically started this one over from scratch. I didn’t like the shape of it or the poses.

This is a much better shape for a sticker and the poses are far more dynamic than the original color sketch.

I don’t support the Assisted Dying Bill and voted against it, but it is not right for the unelected chamber to block the commons.

2 months ago 14 7 0 2

Assisted Dying Bill passed in the Commons and has 70%+ support from the public.
To put up 1000+ amendments is ironically designed to be death of the bill by a thousand cuts.
This is not what the Lords is for.

A four-panel comic titled "how to get into nature". In panel 1, a person kneels in the woods, looking down at a red-backed salamander, and the text says "notice a living thing." In panel 2, the text says "notice some other things that live near it," and there's a starflower, springtail, ant, little wood satyr butterfly, and salamander on the leaf litter. In panel 3, covered in creatures, plants, and a colorful starburst, the text says "Notice the connections between them, discover the wider ecosystem, learn about its histories, and find yourself following links from bedrock to stratosphere, between biotic and abiotic, at scales both microbial and massive, until you’re hopelessly overwhelmed by the wonder of it all." In panel 4, the text says "Fall into a daze and let moss engulf you." The person from the first panel is still kneeling in the woods, looking happy as moss slowly engulfs them, and they're saying "This is for the best."

We have an entire class of Democratic "leadership" that has been told that it's dangerous and extreme to say this, and that does not understand that what Democrats want is for their leaders to articulate what they believe and why they believe it. That should not be as big an ask as it apparently is.

A plump Woodpigeon stands confidently at a bird bath, chest puffed out, looking slightly smug. Beside it, a glossy Starling with shimmering green and purple feathers sits lower down, tilting its head up as if deep in conversation. The two birds appear to be mid-chat, giving off the vibe of scheming pals casually plotting how to dodge being counted in the Big Garden Birdwatch.

'Alright pal, got plans for the #BigGardenBirdwatch?'

'Nah, just the usual... hang out of sight whilst she's doing the count, then touch down once the hour's over. You?'

'Classic. Planning some fly-bys with a few of the boys, but we'll only land one at a time.'

'Niiice.'

the best antidote to blackpilling is remembering that every video you see of an ICE thug abusing their power was recorded by an American who volunteered to put themselves in harm's way for the sake of people they've likely never met and never will
