Without having access to this assembly of Saxon brooches, I could not have reconstructed Grave 68 from Winterton, North Lincolnshire. (or by using research from fellow archaeologists come up with these quirky fabric samples)

A panis quadratus, a copy of a Roman loaf of bread. And a Roman replica knife used to cut it.
Heck, not just for work. Copies of historical objects find their way into regular household use in our home! I bought the knife seen here, to cut our home made Panis Quadratus from a French reenactor and blacksmith, who created it from drawings of excavated examples.
