😩… but also, looking forward to what can be done is the best anyone can do💚
They arrived on the 15th and the Entire yard heard about it😄

The Flycatchers are evaluating every unoccupied hollow😄

The Great Crested Flycatchers are back from their winter down south and are out there discussing nesting options😄
There’s a container pond just a few feet away🐸
A frog’s heart wants what it wants😄
Seems fair
A pine woods tree frog (or maybe a squirrel tree frog- as we haven’t seen the back of their thighs… which is frankly none of our business) sits on our deck rail after being carefully moved from inside our grill.
Nobody can use our grill until this friend has been located and moved😄
Yes- petals are scattered everywhere😄
Tree Frog is headed up the tulip poplar… must be where the tastiest bugs are😄
The Crows and Squirrels generally seem to like each other… I think the heat is making everyone cranky- might have to put out extra apple slices tomorrow😄
… that would be Mama Squirrel😅

Nobody’s nesting here right now…they seem to take turns- maybe this guy is eradicating all the nest parasites😄
This guy watches me fill goat buckets every morning… gotta keep track of all the yard water sources😄
When you give a Crow a fish tail… he’s probably gonna want to save it for later😄
If there’s one thing Crow knows…it’s how to work a runway😄
🥰
A gray tree frog who has clearly been eating well sits with her adorable sticky toes tucked neatly beneath her chin
Cope’s Gray Tree Frog is confident this trellis was placed here specifically for her and would like to request more garden accessories that blend with her skin tone😄
Newt today-
backing up into his little moss haven when an unexpected human approaches… and I’m not even offended because… honestly, little dude… same😅
lol, it’s not… we get waves of biting mosquitoes with every big rain here, but the ponds have not increased those- just increased creatures that eat mosquitoes
Dragonflies and their larvae probably do most of the mosquito eating in our ponds. We don’t use mosquito dunks because we have elephant mosquitoes who don’t bite us but their larvae do eat other mosquito larvae
The pouchlings are growing🎉
