The Province's decision to close the Sheldon Chumir SCS June 30 is significant and we must all come to the table to work together on what comes next.
My thoughts about how we move forward to improve safety and prevent unnecessary death 👇

It was great to join @calgaryclimatehub.ca and chat with Councillor Andrew Yule and Councillor @natefor8.bsky.social about tree equity and other Hub initiatives. We look forward to collaborating on expanding the tree canopy in Calgary!
Appreciate the kind words.
Public Hearings are not Plebiscites yet we treat them as such.
The vote on citywide rezoning has ended.
Below is an excerpt of my debate before the vote, where I spoke about what we heard, who we didn't hear, and why we must focus on the future.
Growth isn’t optional — it’s already happening. Time to move forward together.

This is deeply personal for all of us. It's about where we call home or where we aspire to call home.
It's about our shared challenges in every neighbourhood and every kitchen table, which is why we must remain focused on solutions for the future growth of our City 2/
I've shared a short reflection on what I heard and what I'll be thinking about as we head into the final stages of this process.

Today the Public Hearing on City-Wide Rezoning concluded.
I appreciated the thoughtful, and heartfelt input that came from Calgarians across our city and tomorrow brings questions, debate, and amendments.

Day 1 of Council's Public Hearing is done and I'm reminded of the first day of Budget hearings from last November. Listening, engaging, learning from Calgarians.
And like that day, I'm back where I started: waiting for the CTrain on my journey home.
See you bright and early for day 2 #yyc #yyccc

💧Sunday Update – A hidden win for us!
While we were technically in the red zone at 504 million litres (ML), 5 ML of that was actually used to refill a section of the feeder main. This means that YOU only used 499 ML. Keep up the great work!
