Last year I completed the images for The Rooted Woman oracle with Dr Sharon Blackie and this is one of the images from that deck, This one is called Rooted.

And we head to the sun
The day setting on an old way
A way that is done

We leave the golden fields
and the golden hares
The russet foxes
and the moonlit badgers
The owls that wake the night with calls in the quiet orchard

We leave them all

Hare looks towards the west
To the sunset over the golden fields
There’s a new day coming
She feels it on the wind
and the trees whisper the change

And we move westward
Leave our fields and woods behind
My speaking tree bade me farewell
for the last time
