What always hits me about the Hobbit is how much better I like Elrond and Galadriel. They seem a lot more vibrant and warm, not as cold and distant.
I was weirded out by some of Galadriel's scenes in LOTR.

So I've finally watched the Hobbit extended trilogy. I like it a lot better!! The extra scenes with Elrond, Beorn, Dain....big improvements.
However, watching the entire Thrain subplot was WILD and confusing? 🤔 They definitely made the right call cutting that.

Very shocking.... that it was even around for 8 years.
