did this day of the dead sugar skull a while ago! she was done in two sessions so these pictures show a partially-healed, partially-fresh tattoo. i was stoked to get to do something with a lot of personal and cultural significance for my client.

literally nothing scarier than tattooing another tattoo artist. this turned out great!

i'd recommend checking out local groups in some states you plan on moving to for a vibe check. reddit can be a good place for this. if you have any friends who lived or currently live in those areas, ask them their opinion, too!

finding a place to rent from states away is definitely possible, but i do recommend either looking up reviews of the property management company/apartment complex/etc. and i second spending the money to go see the place in person.

i've done big moves several times (tennesse -> minnesota -> oregon -> texas -> colorado) and it's absolutely doable in 5 months. it's obviously easier the fewer things you have to move so, if you can, sell your furniture and pare down your belongings as much as possible.

i actually set up a lil discord server for myself that i use as a separate storage for stuff like this! it has all my tattoo photos and videos and a ton of reference photos that are tagged for easy searching. keeps my phone photos decently cleaned out.
