Congratulations, @adamrothman.bsky.social, on the publication of your article about abolitionists' use of irony and humor to clarify the hypocrisy of slaveholders. It's fantastic. Everyone should read it!

What is the German word for when all three of these women cabinet secretaries absolutely deserved to get fired and yet pretty much all the men cabinet secretaries and FBI director drunks do too. And yet .... 🤔

Philanthropy radio is not public radio.

When and how are we going to have a robust public media system that's *actually* funded by the public? One that is secure from autocratic meddling and destruction?

What if public media didn't have to regularly beg for support?

FBI Director Kash Patel sues The Atlantic claiming false reporting about drinking, absences FBI Director Kash Patel filed a defamation lawsuit against The Atlantic and its reporter Sarah Fitzpatrick following the publication of an article on Friday alleging the director had a drinking probl...

If I represented the Atlantic, I’d lock in the earliest deposition date on the calendar. Call Patel’s bluff. He has zero interest in putting any of this under oath.

Donated a whole eighty million dollars and they still couldn't say her name. We would've seen it plastered EVERYWHERE if Steve himself gave a $500 tip and they found out.

When a place like @hampshirecollege.bsky.social gets crushed by corporatization, it's not just students who suffer. Faculty & staff who worked hard to provide an alternative to the banality of higher ed are left high & dry. Here's an account in case you can help. www.instagram.com/hampshirewor...

Coworker who uses "hey, team" & "we're on the same team" seems always the one who ignores the amount of work they're asking of you. Makes it easy for director to ignore the disparity in work & pay, too.

See my forthcoming treatise "Why I, a historian and not a development director, works weekends."

If this thing ever does get built, here’s hoping it’s knocked down shortly after. But a few stones should remain, as a bitter monument to Trump’s Fallen Arch.

It was 1783, so the magistrates still had a supply of old legal forms from before the Revolution.

Everywhere this document refers to the authority of the King, they have scratched it out and replaced it with the authority and laws of the new State of New Hampshire.
