i'm not going to take a selfie because i split my forehead open this morning (fell asleep sitting up, hit corner of desk, looks worse than it is) but i'm somehow back in columbus oh, where i almost died in a shitty hospital last summer.
fuck you, columbus! still alive!
shout out to the post for publishing the funniest possible jimmy buffett tribute piece, live from the margaritaville hotel in times square
i did a reggae show on college radio (long story) and i still think about the couple, him inside and her not, who for years called the station daily to dedicate songs to each other
so it's NOT just a clever name
anyway i love discovering that this entire world of awful-sounding jam band festivals featuring musicians i've absolutely never heard of exists and continues to thrive
...and that world's name is "vermont"
they did five (5) sets of twiddle in 2019. twiddle is getting lazy.
you know, just in case you survive burning man and decide you'd rather freeze to death while "primitive forest camping" in lafayette ny
four (4) sets of Twiddle
nebraska athletics surfed that wave of success for a full 26 hours, respect
"no one-liner list would be complete without olaf falafel"
"37 percent were concerned that vaccines could cause “cognitive issues” in dogs and may lead them to develop autism."
have these people ever fucking MET a dog
it's usually mustard
in the old days you used to be able to fill up any receptacle you wanted with wine slushie, so you'd have a bunch of stumbling moms walking around with those big double gulp cups full

well that's just solid advice no matter what
I don't think all that intense, since it's not really harvest season yet - the competitive floral arrangements, though, that shit gets heavy duty
hello from the new york state fair, where i just witnessed a pink-haired teen in a battle jacket that read PURE HELL arguing with her parents about how much fried dough to buy
why does this dude insist on calling it "the work" like he's a member of dipset

i enjoyed how absolutely nothing interesting seems to have happened in his life since 2017, blatant erasure of his illustrious run playing for the Zappers of Fan Controlled Football
real heads know that this is 79 cents worth of pure happiness
(and yet, thanks to that "mma rules" debacle, not even close to the worst thing on that lame show)
does jey uso not have any friends? could he not have been sitting there in the babyface locker room going "hey my brother and my other brother are probably going to fuck me in this match, ask me how i know"? just awful, predictable, contrived horseshit
Being 40 means that I was the exact right age to love Pee-Wee Herman, and not old enough to really understand the controversy around his arrest at all. Growing up and learning more, I rooted for the guy every chance I got. One of the all-time great comic actors. RIP.
The only thing that could have possibly topped that match was Derrick Lewis' interview. "I just thought I'd throw some bullshit and see if it lands." All-time classic.
one fun thing about the SAC-era mets is that they combine the worst aspects of baseball with the worst aspects of hedge funds, and yet it's still better than the wilpon-era mets
