It’s amazing how the Republicans call for a return to civility when they win, but when they lose, they’re all about ripping everyone apart. Like many other things in the Republican Party, the double standard is the norm.

I’m a Massachusetts democrat in one of the bluest states in the country. I voted because it’s my civic responsibility to do so. Also, if you don’t participate you shouldn’t be able to complain about the results.

It wouldn’t have saved us from Trump in this election, but it WOULD have saved us from him eight years ago. Remember, he won the Electoral College in that election, but Hillary Clinton won the popular vote. Also, see George W. Bush in 2000.

This is why the Electoral College is antiquated and needs to be abolished. It diminishes the true voice of the American voter. Presidential elections should be dependent on direct vote count, like everything else.

Remember: fascism thrives on apathy.

The autocrats want you to tune out. They want to overwhelm you. They want you to give up.

Don’t give them want they want.
