Birthright, the Mystara series (Mark of Amber, Karameikos, Glantri), etc. Some cool stuff from TSR around then — just before the sale to WotC.

Microsoft AI CEO: 'Most, if not all' white-collar tasks can be replaced by AI within 12-18 months Mustafa Suleyman, Microsoft's AI chief, says AI can automate white-collar jobs within 12-18 months, as tech reaches human-level performance in tasks.

In 18 months the world economy will be destroyed and no one will buy or use our products. I'm smart. My AI pal told me so.

Another "Impossible Landscapes" session goes sideways. I see not one of those fumbles happened on a Firearms roll.

Hmmm ...

Without a critical failure on a pew-pew roll, maybe Agent Morgan ended Agent Martian because Morgan thought Martian had it coming.

Then again, maybe Carcosa.

Agreed! Love the NPC art from some of the AD&D and BECMI books for that exact reason.

Same!

I finished the Woodford Reserve from 2024, then had a glass of the Bulleit I received a few weeks ago from a friend who endured my lost years. Bulleit is now stored, as it should be.

After all, those lost years were lost for a reason (or three).

If it had been a beer bottle, my appreciation of this post would have been drunkenly yet musically appropriate.

While Amazon is investing billions of dollars to expand AI, independent bookstores are hosting community events, personally recommending books to readers, and providing a space that is safe and welcoming during a time when we need them most.

Never underestimate the power of a local bookstore.

What We Lost When Condé Nast Unceremoniously Shuttered Teen Vogue This article is part of TPM Cafe, TPM’s home for opinion and news...

Teen Vogue produced some of the best journalism out there for years, on topics that were vitally important to teens (and the rest of us). So they had to go, apparently.
