In Ken Burns’ doc on the American Revolution, he notes that Gen. Washington initially hesitated to inoculate troops against smallpox because they’d be sick for weeks afterward. But he finally had to mandate inoculations when troops died in large numbers.

Recall what the White House told Vanity Fair (verified by a doc reading from talking points) about the president’s health after his second “annual” physical last year? Despite all the cognitive tests, MRIs, hand bruising, cankles & falling asleep during the day: “he’s in excellent health.”
Sounds like someone trying desperately to prove his value to an unwell president right after *another* high profile, embarrassing story has come out about his excessive alcohol use.

This is such an important story & it needs to be publicized widely. I believe Rep. Grijalva is right about the nexus of corruption and human rights violations—the regime is trying to hide payoffs and abuses that are happening.

Netanyahu is a horrible leader, on par with 🍊👺 in corruption & narcissism. Before Oct 7th, there were many mass demonstrations to oust him; many (most?) Israelis despise him. We can denounce horrible leaders & regimes without generalizing that disgust to everyone in a nation.
