The cover for Strontium Dogs volume two

The cover for Strontium Dogs volume two

Johnny Alpha and Wulf are dead, Feral is a fugitive, the Strontium Dogs are over, and… et, wait… why does The Gronk have a gun?

We’re entering a weird era in Strontium Dogs Vol 2, by Garth Ennis, Peter Hogan, Steve Pugh, and Nigel Dobbyn

If 2000AD eras were the history of rock?
The comic started with a nostalgic rock & roll feel, but quickly pogoed into full on punk, skipped New Wave, then oddly regressed into prog rock but went head long into NWOBHM. Judging by this cover, we're in the thrash metal period.

a 1980s Dandy panel (published in Scotland) of The Jocks Versus The Geordies, with the Geordies horrified to see their real comic, a piss-take of Newcastle published Viz, being shown to a disgusted judge: "The not-very-good sharks? The boy with big pants? None of this lot are funny." "Rumbled!"

"Marge, try to understand: there are two types of comic publisher, jocks and geordies. As a jock, I must give Viz a hard time."

So early that the official French title "La Guerre des étoiles" doesn't even exist yet.

A screenshot of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, of the player's game being paused by a pop-up window giving them a status update, with the only option being an acknowledgement button that says "Done". The scene behind the window is of an Argonian woman (humanoid lizard person) standing on part of a structure from some Ayleid (ancient elvish) ruins made of white stone, with a set of spiral stairs going downward behind her. The ruins are in a forest with tall trees stretching out into the background, as well as some mountains in the far distance. The pop-up window is blocking all of the woman's torso, insinuating that it is censoring her and that she isn't wearing any clothing. Her scales are a mix of orange, brown, and green. She has a crown of decorative spikes on her head with decorative fabric draping down the sides of her head, hanging off of the spikes.

A friend told me over a decade ago that "any technology created before someone is 35 is fun & exciting and any technology created after that age is frightening and evil" and that has absolutely been proven true for me, but also most of the technologies created in the last 10 years really suck!
