Ted Turner is personally responsible for two awful things. He popularized colorizing B&W films which, mercifully, has gone the way of the 8-track cassette. Even worse though, he invented 24-hour news television, which continues to make life worse to this very day.

Transformers clean artwork by Go Nonaka featured in Newtype magazine March '87 issue. Image depicts a damaged Optimus Prime, seated next to a structure where the Autobots logo can be seen etched on the surface. He's missing his right foot while opening his chest reaching for the core. There's another Transformer on the left side, most likely a Decepticon, running towards his location and a futuristic city landscape can be seen in the distance in tones of orange and yellow.

Paused MAD MEN while Ted Chaough’s partner was in the hospital and the HBO Max interstitial ad made it look like his dying wish was for a Whopper.

As the Princess is escorting Nemo through her castle, they are greeted by many people, all of whom are happy that he came without Flip. When Flip does run in, he is loaded into a canon and shot into the sky. Eventually, he crashes through a skylight and lands on a couples dining table as they are eating.

Three panel comic. (SPOILERS for the movie Arrival, but it’s like a decade old at this point so personally I think it’s chill.) Panel 1: the aliens from arrival are communicating in their circle writing language to Amy Adams’ character. Panel 2: Amy Adams is back with the other humans, standing in front of a whiteboard, and frantically trying to explain the meaning of their language, connecting their symbols to words like “WAR”, “HUMAN”, “PURPOSE”, etc. Panel 3: the aliens are hanging out drinking brews and one of them is like, “and then I drew a circle with a bunch of squiggles!” His buddies are cracking up.

i love when a literary award’s category breakdown is like: fiction, non-fiction, sci-fi, horror, middle grade, children’s, and then just “comics.” lol

Hey, librarian here. If you find out a favorite author is a monster, don't separate the art from the author just give it the fuck up and stop supporting the monster.
